Starring Talya Çelebi and Cenay Türksever, "Gelin" is the life story of two people from entirely different worlds: Hançer, who gives up her dreams for her loved ones on the one hand, and Cihan, who has fire in his eyes on the other.
Hançer, who gets her name from her sharp gaze, faces an offer that will turn her life upside down. Taking advantage of the fact that Hançer is poor and has a family that will not cause trouble, Mukadder offers her to marry her son and give birth to a son. Hançer, who dreams of finding the love of her life and having a happy marriage, first rejects this offer, but when she learns that her brother has a fatal illness, she is forced to accept the offer.

This Mukader is a kind of woman which no remorse in what she did even to her own husband. She thinks that people can be step like a rug,and her neice Beyza is also influence her black behaviour. Cehan I think is a perfectionist guy but his first marriage ruined him because his mother told her to marry Beyza to silent Nusret who killed her husband. I don't understand the female leads confusion and struggle with the situation she is in . She knows the agreement regarding this marriage was not for love but the procreation of a child so that she can receive a large amount of money to pay her family's debt. The need for her family is great, just like the male leads need for an heir is. They both benefit with the situation. What she should struggle with is figuring out a way of not being ran over by both the cold hearted mother-in-law and evil ex-wife.

@estherbarbet1666 I agree. It is irritating watching her constantly cry over something she agreed to do in order to save her brother. She knows how bad her family's situation is and is now married to remedy that problem. Of course, it isn't the most desirable form of saving her family, but it could be a lot worse than marriage to a rich man and have a child. Even before she married the male lead, she knew the cold and business like attitude he had towards their situation. The whole damsel in distress attitude is annoying. I need her to find a strong backbone as well.

A parte del inconveniente de la reducción de la emisión de la novela a un sólo día, que se puede llegar a entender por las elecciones de mañana y siendo como es Kanal7 un canal estatal, la novela sigue adoleciendo de los mismos defectos desde el principio ( y que a lo que parecen, son una constante en las novelas turcas de este mismo canal) a saber: -Escasísimas escenas ( y extremadamente lentas) entre los protagónicos, que realmente son los personajes que de momento nos interesan a los espectadores. -La superposición de malvados/villanos en el mismo espacio; Ya con esa suegra cruel, en esa casa no se necesita a nadie más para martirizar a la pobre novia!!! Esa suegra y ese marido que es un bloque de hielo sin sentimientos por el momento, dominador e inmisericorde, incapaz de ponerse en los zapatos de la que ya es su esposa. Bueno, pues no contentos con eso los libretistas nos "regalan " la presencia infame del tiíto y la primita -ex. Además de ridículo resulta irritante. A legua se vé que Cihan no siente nada por la primita, entonces? A santo de qué la mantiene en la misma casa comploteando todo el día, con libertad absoluta de acción?????Cómo no le entregó dinero suficiente y otra casa???? Y el tío???? Pero si parece un mantenido bueno para nada que ni trabaja en la empresa, qué hace también todo el rato en la mansión???? No sería mejor que tío y ex salieran y se dedicaran a hacerle la vida imposible a Cihan en la empresa???? O que tuvieran la paciencia de que hubiera embarazo para maquinar todo tipo de villanías contra Hancer??? -Luego está lo de embarazarla por inseminación artificial????? Es un poco rebuscado, no??? Y sin decirle nada a la mamacita que piensa que si la novia se pone ropas provocativas despertará el deseo del hijo????? No sé, ahora es todo un galimatías... Lo más fácil a mi juício hubiera sido, la consumación del matrimonio ( aunque no nos mostraran nada de la encamada, por supuesto, que estamos en Turquía )¡¡¡¡¡ y que el embarazo tardara para que Cihan y Hancer tuvieran que convivir lo suficiente como para conocerse tratarse, y enamorarse antes...Pero claro, ésto es desde una lógica telenovelera diferente!!!

Scene che non servirebbero... In tutto posso dire di aver avuto solo poco tempo per l essenza della storia.. Dopo una settimana??.. Ci rinuncio... Grazie mille.. Gli attori però sono molto bravi... Sono sconcertata e disgustata da quanto viene raccontato e mostrato con totale naturalezza tanto da fare passare il tutto come cosa abituale e normale. Una "suocera" che schiaffeggia la nuora e questa non reagisce? Una giovane donna soggiogata dal desiderio di aiutare il fratello che si sottopone ad umiliazioni che tolgono ogni dignita'? Un uomo impietrito, rude ed arrogante che pensa di poter disporre di una persona trattandola con un disprezzo che non è umano? Una "famiglia" con un concentrato di persone inqualificabili, che tramano gli uni verso gli altri, che cercano vendette, che cercano di riprendersi quanto perduto e per questo, non esitano a macchinare piani criminali? Menti fortemente disturbate che ospitano la follia e pericolose. Una cognata, moglie del fratello di Hancer, fratello troppo buono, ingenuo e soprattutto debole , moglie che per personale ambizione, presunzione, egoismo, interessi, crede di poter risolvere i problemi economici e di vita quotidiana perché Hancer ha sposato un benestante e potente uomo d'affari? Ma quanto raccontato è frutto di una sceneggiatura particolarmente deprimente o risponde a realtà? Se così fosse, sarebbe allarmante e sconvolgente. Sarebbe terribile soprattutto che una persona, accetti tutto il male del mondo senza una minima reazione a tanti soprusi. Non comprendo il turco, ma nessuna ragione al mondo, nemmeno una ragione di vita o di morte, può giustificare la decisione a sacrificare la dignità che appartiene ad un essere umano. Nessun potere, nessuna autorità familiare, nessuna minaccia, nessuna pretesa, nessun accordo può cancellare il rispetto dovuto alle persone. Se tutto ciò risponde anche solo in minima parte a realtà, sono felice di non appartenere a usi, costumi e mentalità inaccettabili e disumani per la mia cultura.

Mukadder is a pain, and Beyza is sly and evil, but it's turning out Hancer is as simple minded as her brother. Cihan is correct...she promises something without thinking of the consequences. Why did she agree to have a kid when she won't go thru the mechanics of how its done? Can anyone have sympathy for Hancer's self imposed problems? Writers and directors, you need to do a better job with this script and heroine. Actually, Cihan is to be applauded for seemingly to actually be drawn to this naively foolish girl
