Starring Talya Çelebi and Cenay Türksever, "Gelin" is the life story of two people from entirely different worlds: Hançer, who gives up her dreams for her loved ones on the one hand, and Cihan, who has fire in his eyes on the other.
Hançer, who gets her name from her sharp gaze, faces an offer that will turn her life upside down. Taking advantage of the fact that Hançer is poor and has a family that will not cause trouble, Mukadder Develioğlu offers her to marry her son and give birth to a son. Hançer, who dreams of finding the love of her life and having a happy marriage, first rejects this offer, but when she learns that her brother has a fatal illness, she is forced to accept the offer. Nothing will ever be the same for Cihan and Hançer, who have entered an irreversible path. Will these two young people, drawn into a big game and lost in a dark labyrinth, fall under the spell of love instead of the planned games?

I can't believe this story got picked up internationally... It is utter trash. Excruciatingly slow. Zero chemistry between the leads. No progression in the story. Zero meaningful exchanges between the leads. I keep coming back hoping something will happen.... Leave disappointed every time.

This is morally wrong, and for Cihan to insist on this method is completely out of line, marrying the girl for the sole purpose of giving him a child is bad enough but IVF what the hell is that about? It's a known fact that these procedures are both mentally and physically stressful and to make this the subject of this drama just because this idiot, his mother and his ex-wife want a child is disgusting. Add to that the fact that the storyline is so boring, there is next to no dialogue between the main characters, it's not normal, in todays episode I actually thought sitting on that bench together after the trip to the hospital would have been an excellent opportunity for Cihan and Hancer to communicate but there was nothing, the writers are crazy. It is already bad that we only see two 1 hr episodes every week but viewers must be dropping off like flies in Turkey, goodness knows what the ratings are like. The biggest annoyance for me though is Hancer, why is the girl allowing herself to be so humiliated by this man? If IVF does happen ( and I am hoping it doesn't) how can the writers turn this into a love story? I mean, can she ever respect the guy if he makes her go through this? Surely not! Hancer's Brother must be simple minded because he isn't acting normal either. Cihan's Mother and Beyza are another level psycho, not even worth commenting on those two.

The same way, they ruined the previous drama 'fedakar,. Both main leads were so good in acting but the story was so traumatic and then suddenly a happy ending in the end. And the story moves like a turtle 🐢

I really don’t understand the writers. The storyline is something new so it would get a lot of attention if only the story progressed quicker. This episode should be number 4 or 5 but not 17. They could’ve focused on the surrogacy agreement they have, provide more depth and backstory of the characters and make Beyza less pathetic. I’m tired of the villains being written lazily, including his mom. Why does she hate Hancer so much for no reason to the point of mistreating her this way when it’s in her interest for Hancer to have a baby and the mother wanted them to get married. I don’t like when villains are villains for the sake of it, give us reasons even if they are absurd or cynical. What does Hancer like or do? She doesn’t work and she doesn’t study either. The scenes are choppy and nonsensical. You will watch for 20 minutes and realise the show is going nowhere. No sense of direction. Is like the previous scene and the next scene have no connection or thought behind it. It would’ve been so good if they focused on Cihan falling in love with Hancer and trying to fight this and Hancer becoming a strong and fierce woman after the birth of the baby she must protect.

I too wonder about Hancer's character. In comparison to other lead female roles she has no talent, and very childish - speaking to her doll etc. I am still hoping she has a good voice, because right now her self-sacrifice and love for her brother are the only items on her good characteristics list, and her pretty eyes are just not enought to make me (or Cihan) love her.

I also want to add something about Hanger's behavior. When someone( from the mansion or somewhere else) meets or greets her she keeps staying silence instead of replying with saying hello. Her voice is a bit rough. I think she should have a voice training course for actresses.

I really like Cenay and Talya but this series is just too torturing. He has never slept with his wife, feels too important to stay in the house and his ex wife is having her ways. Poor Hancer. I don’t think she’ll be able to conceive again. I think I’m done . They are wasting the series away. The director and writer are equal trash for thinking a story like this has meaning. It’s so triggering and traumatic. Good riddance to rubbish. How can you be in love with her but put her at risk to cancer, infertility and death. This is not a LOVE STORY

If Cihan had sIept with Hancer, it wouId be caIIed "rape". And he doesn't want to known as such ... Hancer said: "This debt was paid with my honor " ... "I soId myseIf for money, how can I get rid of this stain ..."

He introduced the IVF idea to her on their wedding night and insulted Hancer in doing so, she disgusted with him. She knew when she got married that she would be conceiving a baby the natural way, rape would never have come up into her mind.

I share your sentiments with regard to the directors and film makers in regard to the story line. However, I also think the actors are equally to be blamed for accepting and take responsibility for enacting these type of roles with total disregard for people's mental health and medical misfortunes. All they think about is enriching themselves to live lavish lives. There are many, many things which I would like to see banned in tv series ie based on jealousy, stupid revenge acts eg. setting people's homes and business premises alight, violence, lies, mistreating of domestic staff, parents covering up kids mis-demeanors, kids having to face the brunt of their parents actions, the whole family to be blamed for one family member's crime, men walking around with rosary's, which is supposed to be sacred, but committing despicable crimes. I have asked many young people how they got to learn how to steal, rob, use a gun etc besides seeing it in their neighborhood. You know what they tell me sadly "THEY ALSO LEARN ALOT FROM WHAT THE SEE ON TV". They even tell me which actors they imitate. This happens around the world. Why do you think their are so many young ladies starving themselves and suffer an inferiority complex because of their looks, skin ? They watch TV!!!! ie mean girls etc .... I rest my case.

Me gustó la canción al final del episodio, pero creo que tiene que haber algo más profundo entre Çihan y Hançer! Se que el tema al final, es de confusiones entre ellos, pero aunque existan miles de confusiones, en un principio Çihan no mostró desagrado por Hançer, creo que no le molestó la idea de casarse con ella, lo malo fue y sigue siendo el asunto del dinero! Pero en el fondo y a pesar de su orgullo, él está interesado en Hançer y aunque Hançer no lo acepte, ella también está interesada en Çihan, pero claro está, ninguno de los dos da el primer paso! Él la rechaza todo el tiempo! Ahora, es porque piensa que ella fue la que sacó todo el dinero, pero nunca se dignó en preguntar al banco, si había sido ella, él solo asume! Cuando ella se fue, empezó a seguirla, y pensó lo peor de ella, después de eso empezó a confiar en ella, pero ahora que? Pienso que Engin podría hacer que Çihan firmara algún documento extra a favor de Hançer, pero me gustaría que Çihan cambie de actitud en relación a Hançer!

@helloitsingrid2666 No recuerdo si se casó con ella desde un principio o solo la escogió la mamá para ser la madre sustituta del bebé y después darselo a la esposa! En no te enamores, él si estaba enamorado de su esposa, pero él se enamoró de la otra chica después! A diferencia de Çihan, que no estaba enamorado de Beyza, esa es una de las diferencias! Pero si igual con el tema de la suegra y la descendencia y la continuación del apellido...!! 😅 Y con lo del préstamo del papá de Elif y el préstamo del hermano de Hançer! Pero el papá de Elif vendió a la hija, y Elif quería el dinero para sacar a la madre de la cárcel!

@@Losrtoly1290 por eso es la trama es un poco parecida esperemos que la cinderella hançer , dagger o dagas no pierda la memoria ( como pasó en esta serie no te enamores , legacy no te vayas sin mi o asla vazgeçmem pero no era la olvidadiza la heroína principal sino que era la bruja loca de la ex en coma que se hacia pasar por desmemoriada ). Tenemos que tener los dedos 🤞 para que esto no ocurra este nuevo cuento turco. 😂

She is bitter & nasty. Mother-in-law told her when Hancei gives birth she will take the baby and put he/she in her arms😡which I find cruel, however, my question--Beyza knows this so why are we still subjected to her being cruel & conniving to Hancei?! Writers should put this to rest for now & let us see a real relationship develop between Cihan & Hancei.

I had hopes but I just don’t know how the writer thinks this is love. He’s violating her. At least if it was sex he can comfort her as a human but he is making her lose her virginity through needles. Thank you so much for this new episode. I hope the scriptwriters and the producers don’t keep ruin this beautiful series. At this point they should find out about all the things Bayza are doing and did with the baby . I hope this Doctor see the good heart ❤️ of Hander and told the true to Cihan . Cihan already looks like he is falling in love with Hander . At this point Bayza look like the main character .. Instead Cihan & Hander They need to speed up a little bit . It’s too long and the same situation. I hope Cihan see soon the true face of Bayza and the sister in law and his mother and Bayza father .I really like this series and they should do it every day .

I think she will not go through with it. Beyza doesn't want Chihan to have a child. She is too greedy. The Sister-in-law is a thief! I want her to be exposed. It would be funny if Hançer's brother found the money, but Derya would overpower any moral fiber her husband might have.

Теперь Бейза угрожая, что уничтожить её(врача) договорилась с ней о том, что она сделает так же с Ханчер чтобы она тоже никогда не смогла забеременеть и не родит им внука. Посмотрим, что будет дальше. А невеста Ханчер обманула её, что якобы она все долги брата (мужа своего) выплатила и теперь её брат чист.

I really hope they don't go through with this storyline. If it is ever going to turn into a love story how can Hancer ever show him love and respect when he is humiliating her in such a way. The appointment at the hospital with that unscupulous Dr was one of the most uncomfortable scenes I have watched in this drama so far and Hancer annoyed the hell out of me, she just sat there and took it.
