So cool seeing this. Doug was my coach as well. We we’re a family - us Doug Chapman skaters at Arctic Blades 😁

Good thing the immediate post-skate/throughout the announcement of the scores interviews didn't stick around forever. She was having none of it and I've seen many other instances where skaters just want the interviewer to shut up.

It is funny, you can tell she is dissapointed with her marks, she skated a much better short than the Olympics, and she thinks she is undermarked, but she doesnt want to come across as a poor sport so she doesnt say it.

she used part of her long program as the music in this program....Bad decision which is why she got low artistic marks

@@grantnoroyan4083 She seems like a very nice lady but she has very choppy stroking and puny, little jumps. I am impressed she was even able to do a triple toe (rare at the time) and lots of difficult jump combinations in the long with such very small jumps. She definitely maxed out her talent. Her 75 world title was well deserved as she aced figures like never before, and captilized on Hamill blowing the short and Errath having mistakes in both programs plus bombing the figures badly, but she was never an Olympic Gold medalist calibre skater. Mind you I still prefer her to Poetzsch, Poetzsch has much bigger jumps, and skates faster, but skates like a full back on skates, De Leeuw atleast has some style and nice positions in parts unlike Poetzsch.
