What a difference between this interview and that of Kamala's. Vijaya ma'am is so unbiased. Talking equally on both her dad and mom. Very well brought up. 👍🏻👍🏻

She is speaking her POV. Just like the movie showed it from Savitri's POV. Imagine if the movie director decided to film the movie in a different way.....where *Savitri kept throwing herself at GG and refusing to listen to her uncle while GG kept pushing away. She threatens to suicide if he doesn't marry her. He gives up and marries her and comes home to his wife and kids who feel betrayed and abandoned. GG is forced to be with her but is not fully committed to the relationship as it was based off threats and not love, she resorts to abusing alcohol* ......wow all of a sudden angel character turned to devil character. It's all about POV! Obviously Mahanati is a Telugu movie so even the script we were shown could be biased as it was loosely based on reality (aka POV of her daughter who approached the director to make a film about her mother). All I'm saying is it takes two to tango and she is upset that her dad was portrayed a villain while the mistress that married her father is shown in limelight. Nothing wrong with that. I think people need to learn to see the story from Dr. Kamala's perspective. I get that everyone loves Savitri, but if you actually take a minute and see the story from Dr. Kamala's perspective, yes Savitri is a villain. I am sorry if blinded fans cannot digest that, but that's her reality. For those of you saying, but *GG is a womanizer and he married so many women and had affairs with other women.... yes, he is not a good person!* I agree but what's interesting is he was a father to his kids and a husband to her mom before he met Savitri. The affairs happened after his marriage with Savitri if you google the timeline. You can understand why Dr. Kamala would blame it all on Savitri even though both her dad and Savitri are to be equally blamed

She talks about how insecure and possessive Savitri was. Fans are particularly upset that she refers to her dad as innocent and naïve (which we all now is far from reality). She talks about how her father was a good father before but then became distanced and dismissive after marrying Savitri. She particularly attacks Savitri's character as jealous, greedy, and possessive through anecdotal examples of her childhood.

Because she got money for giving consent for making movie about her mother and father ., She sold her mother and father . Saviththiri's daughter took her house and left Saviththiri alone in a renting room in her last days . Even Saviththiri's funeral was held not Saviththiri's house . Only Babji's house. At last she is concerned about the fans and wanted them to understand their lives but remember only the good ones. Actually she is a wise woman who managed her agony... As Vijaya has explained, this movie was made in Telugu looking at the way Telugu people looked at Savitri. As Vijaya explains, GG was not a big star in AP, hardly anyone knew him whereas Savitri was a huge star in Telugu. The movie would have been different esp in the portrayal of GG if it was made in Tamil from a Tamil perspective.

I am not a fan of indian cinema. But always a fan of indian history. I knew how much Shrimati Savitri impacted Tamil and Telegu cinemas but Ms. Keerty performed well enough deserving an Oscar. We need to see more biopic in Indian cinema. I was hoping to see one about Indira Gandhi & Peraringar Anna. The Kamaraj film and Periyar were amazing.

I cried for Babji after listening this interview . She was great. My god. How she was wonderful. Even she wanted Saviththiri soul get peace so that she asked daughter to tell that " We will care brother ".. I salute babji. They should make film about her . She had a high leval of humanity. Even Saviththiri didnt have that much sweet heart and matuarity . Babji allowed Saviththiri funeral at her house . After Saviththiri she took care her son and gave education . She knew Life is short . And she spreaded love and forgiveness among family members.

Never forgetable women Savitri Madam 🙏 in my childhood I saw so many moveis. Particular she acted with Shivaji Sir as brother and sister. First We heard that move(ful story) in Radio. Very cried. Very affectionated film. 🙏

Really enjoyed the interview (Vijaya maam very genuine, diplomatic and sensible response) and the watching movie, especially my kids also enjoyed watching it. Keerti Suresh has acted exceptionally well. Yes, it's been 3 days and I'm still thinking about the selfless soul. Hats off, I wish I had met this legend in person. Appreciate Vijaya Chamundeswari's honest admission about both the main characters - her mom and dad. The movie Director and Producer(s) have not researched well to get different perspectives, so the portrayal of both the main characters was not factual or fair. As a result the story lacks integrity. A good lesson to learn! Keerthi Suresh's acting is outstanding - kudos to her!
