Probably my favorite Halloween big head, what’s yours?
Obtained: eBay on October 4th, 2022 for $50. That’s a lot more than I’d usually spend, but it was the last one I needed lol.
Repairs: Replaced split gears in the hips and the head, and also replaced the front spinning knob because it was completely missing somehow.

That base plate… so many heavy memories. What started it all for me was the witch version of this. I can remember being little enough to fit in the front baby seat /purse part of a shopping buggy and seeing a huge display of the singing characters and begging for the witch one. The “display’ was actually just a shopping cart with about 25-30 of these just piled on top of each other haphazardly. The boxes were all bright orange with a clear plastic window on the front and no picture graphics. She was my favorite toy for so many years. Surprisingly I never broke her like I did with all my other toys/Gemmy stuff. I can still hear her, “come closer!”. I had her, a shaking tiki skull on a bamboo stick, black floating grim reaper, and a windchimes set made out of skeleton bones, all Gemmy. The only one I have left is the black floating grim reaper, and he is being very well taken care of now! Can also remember being fascinated by the little adapter jack on the back of her base, and thinking it was for headphones!

Very nice story! I hope you get all the other ones that you broke. Or at least I hope you fix them so you can get them back again because you probably might miss them maybe?

@@masielamothe3641 I don’t have them anymore, I didn’t break any of my Gemmy stuff mechanically surprisingly, but I was very rough on my Barbie’s haha. I can remember losing most of the bamboo sections for the shaking tiki skull. Most of that early 2000s stuff is too rare to get back, but at least I have lots of old pictures of me with them!

@@masielamothe3641 Another note, I can remember having her and memorizing the words to her song. I thought this song was original to her. I came across a Aaron Carter CD in the guest bedroom after I had her for about a year, and I saw on the front of the CD It was called “I want candy”. Four-year-old me was mind blown that Aaron Carter and my favorite toy sang the same song!

@@applesocks89 it's cool that you at least have the pictures. However, you're right that some of the items from the 2000s are rare to find.
