I had one that didn't have a battery pack. That simple. Add a battery pack. Of course, I broke more wires trying to get it reassembled. Helpful video. I pulled another one all apart to finally discover the push switch was completely disconnected. Glad to see others have some issues with the soldering. I've also learned to use the glue gun to protect the wires. I have one now that the arms don't move for a drummer. Not sure about fixing it.

Morning Checked wiring first (all good) Took apart gears look good, 1 very small gear did fall out during dismantling. Not sure yet where that gear goes. Before putting back together, anything else I should check?

I have a Christmas Winnie the Pooh who used to move and talk. He’s battery operated. This year nothing. I took the bottom off but can’t see anything wrong except that the plastic pieces that held his legs to the stand had broken. I don’t think they have anything to do with the sound or motion. He’s motion and sound activated. But there’s nothing happening when I put fresh batteries in. The battery compartment is clean. I always took the batteries out after Christmas. Any suggestions?

Thanks for that tip ! Have one since 2003. Worked very well until this year (2023). Still sings but stopped dancing. I initially thought it was a problem with the frame (arms & legs). Hopefully, it's just a wire problem as well ! 👍

Did you ever do a video on the other Santa?? I'm currently trying to repair one like it. He was working fine and then suddenly issues. 😢 I'm really hoping to be able to repair him as he was one of my favorites. If you did do a video on the other Santa, please let me know as I couldn't find it.

I am trying to repair the exact same one now. This thing does nothing, no sound no wiggle. I've taken it apart and see the voltage running all through it but have no idea why it's not working. I cut the wires that lead to Santa and just bound them together to see if I can at least get a loop that would play the sound but got nothing. Is the board just fried? Also, why is there white glue everywhere on this thing?

Did you check the switch or could be the motor. Or possibly bad gear

@@YourReviewChannel I cut the switch and binded the two yellow together, I motor works as I took it out and tested it directly. What I am seeing is that both wires leading to the motor are giving a positive charge, I am not even sure how that possible, maybe the board is messed up? the speaker also not working but it is receiving two volts and I tested it in isolation and got a crackle.

You can buy a recordable sound module on eBay, set it to any song you want and wire it (keep the old board in it, it controlls the movment and also wire the old speaker wires to the current one)
