Oh wow, I noticed that the eye movement bracket lever on the 2007 model is reinforced compared to the 2006 model. I never knew that the wiring in the eyes is better too, with actual shrink tubing. Other than that, the circuit boards and everything else look exactly the same. I totally get why they did that, the 2006 model eye bracket was pretty thin and flimsy.

I had bought a witch spirit ball that was new in the box from 2005 and when I first opened it that mouth didn’t move at all but eventually just started working probably was stuck from never having been used. Also my skull spirit ball the head stopped moving and when I opened it the belt had fallen off. Never found it either I had to just replace it. The good thing with Gemmy animatronics they are usually easy fixes.

what do you buy to repair the head tilt? What search do you use to find it on ebay??

Spirit balls look like something that is hard to repair but I bet they are really not

Really helpful video. I used it to take mine apart. Where are the sounds stored? Is it possible to change out the sound files? I assume there must be a way since they use the same animatronics for multiple heads. I know some never ones store it on sd cards

So are all of these spirit balls by Gemmy 'sound activated' or do some have IR sensors? We've got what looks like an Uncle Fester spirit ball and he'll activate once powered up but clapping and gently tapping globe yields no action.

Is there away to change the sound box and still make it move with a new sound box? I have the Gypsy and want to make her into Madam Leota from Haunted Mansion
