A little trip with Lost Dog street band to a beautiful tree in Madison, TN near Nashville. It was the backyard of our mutual friend, Dan from Black Matter Mastering. They played a little tune and broke our hearts like always.
You can stream Lost Dog's tunes on Spotify (open.spotify.com/artist/6tkrc...) and all other streaming platforms. Be sure to catch them on tour this summer. Check out the tour dates at www.lostdogstreetband.com/.
Our undying love and gratitude go to our executive producers for making this project possible: Brad Sirois, Mitchell Davis, Keith McQuillan, David Jameson, Lisa Galvan, Irvin Maddox, Josh Collins, Brady Jones, Julie Nestoroff, VJ Arizpe.

My dad was an alcoholic and dealt with personal issues his whole life. He’d sit at the kitchen table, drink, and listen to music that would just make him feel worse. I think he’d like this song, but I think it would actually mean something to him and help him remember the good times in his life. It’s his brother’s birthday today, and I took my dad’s urn to his his brother’s grave to visit him. I played this song for him because I think he would’ve liked it. Hope you’re continuing to rest in peace dad, and make up for lost time with your family. I love you, and I miss you

my good friend Jasmine died just 2 weeks ago. two months ago, just her and i were drinking beer and sharing some smoke. I asked her to listen to this song. immediately she stopped everything and gave this this her 100% attention. no body ever does that. and now i see just how much this song helps me connect with her and is a relatively good example of our relationship. thanks you two. and to everyone else, drive sober and tell the people you love that you love them every time you see them. better to be a dork than think they may have left not knowing.

[Verse 1] There was a very sacred place back where I grew Between three old pine trees that nobody knew I'd close my eyes and pass the time like youngin's often do But now I'm long gone, completely ruined Darlin' you and I were made for many different things To live and learn and lie and laugh, fight and dance and sing But our hearts have been so battered by the things that we have seen And I can feel it in the way you look at me [Chorus] We could pick any old road and start again Hell, we could change our names and try to forget Lord knows I'll be sorry when it's done But circumstances shot us down like September doves Circumstances shot us down like September doves [Verse 2] My grandmother's lullabies used to sing me to sleep I can't sleep nowadays without liquid relief Well if lullabies were whiskey then my Grandma's drinks were cheap I can't afford sleep anymore And we were never made for love our souls are far too old But loneliness needs company and a lost dog needs a home So you will be the fire and I will be the coal Baby we can burn out of control

Idk how to explain the way that kick drum makes me feel? At least as far as I know. But I think it is the randomness maybe. Like it's not complete random but it's not played as a pattern. It comes in and suddenly stops in odd but awesome moments that keeps me on the edge trying to time it perfect coming in and going out. I actually look forward to it unlike literally any other tune I have listened to EVER. And that it a big shoe to fill.

There was a very sacred place back where I grew Between three old pine trees that nobody knew I'd close my eyes and pass the time like youngin's often do But now I'm long gone, completely ruined Darlin' you and I were made for many different things To live and learn and lie and life, fight and dance and sing But our hearts have been so battered by the things that we have seen And I can feel it in the way you look at me Chorus: We could pick any old road and start again Hell, we could change our names and try to forget Lord knows I'll be sorry when it's done But circumstances shot us down like September doves Circumstances shot us down like September doves My grandmother's lullabies used to sing me to sleep I can't sleep nowadays without liquid relief Well if lullabies were whiskey then my Grandma's drinks were cheap. I can't afford sleep anymore We were never made for love our souls are far too old But loneliness needs company and a lost dog needs a home So you will be the fire and I will be the coal Baby we can burn out of control Chorus x2

Ok so I just found these guys today. I must say I love them. They are keeping alive a sound that I thought was gone a long time ago.
