What you said about the 'X' in the calendar is interesting, that wouldn't work for me either - i guess i prefer to think of habits as a 'personal ritual renewed daily' , and so it should be inspiring for the long haul. Random but sort of related, i saw a guy on the street the other day with a freshly tattooed phoenix and 'Never give up' written underneath it. I'll do the chicken dance for that 😆 I'll be curious to see what's planned for the house !

I just went to a used bookstore yesterday. I hadn’t been before b/c the outside honestly reminded me of an “adult”bookstore from the 80’s, but I decided to pop in yesterday while nearby and see if they had a particular book, and I was pleasantly surprised by the inside - it was much nicer than anticipated with a happening cafe and everything! Thank you Gemma!❤

Eva my mum kept a post it on the fridge for stuff she needed to do and I transferred it to a calendar so I do actually tick off the days when I've upped my game swimming, physio stuff (which is no joke) Kiwi walking, refrained from being rude to someone or other so I don't have to worry when I fall asleep ... try to stand on one foot brushing my teeth ... good physio advice though; if you can't do squats in a gym or something get up slowly without using your hands each time you've been in a chair... Had to do that for a while after surgery ... that all does make sense. With you totally on all the rest.

There’s an ideal place for schmökern near where I live: it’s called Roger’s Bookbarn and is a used bookstore, a rambling old building down a series of dirt roads. It’s run by an elderly British lady and it’s absolutely jam packed with every kind of book and seemingly endless nooks and crannies. There are large sections devoted to poetry and detective novels (my own favorites), but also sections on things like music, travel, plants, art etc. Part of the excitement is that they’re usually quite cheap, $5, $3, or even just $1, so that you can come with $20 or $30 (they only take cash) and emerge with a proper stack of treasures. They even have a little tea station, bathroom, and a place to sit outside. The owner is also nice and quite cultured in the way that older people sometimes are (especially book lovers). I sometimes go with my grandparents and then we each get a collection ☺️. Gemma, if you ever make it to the US, book a passage on the Queen Mary or some such, you’ll have to come! 😆💖

I have a system because I'm Virgo. Keep all my bills for expenses with "paid in full" scribed upon it in a box. I have a medical file. I throw them away after taxes. Shredded.😊 My life is super boring. I got in trouble for telling my favourite rock star he looked HOT. I did not know there was a Misses. A relative made it clear on social media. I was embarrassed and have lost my desire to pursue HOT anything. Now my life is really boring. I guess I should keep my compliments to myself.😂😂😂❤😂😂😂 Stay happy. Ty Gemma

Last week I had two odd intuition based encounters and from how curious I stayed and entertained these guys. This week I have heard nothing, which is altering my curiosity because they were really working a lot of charm. Hopefully not the only climax of this summer

I just got that crossbows or regular bows 2000 years ago shot arrow messages across lakes, maybe written on animal skin or on the arrows, and just shot over to friends across the pond. Who knows, maybe they even FLEW over themselves on windy days with hay sails or some other light material parachutes, lol, they just climbed a high tree and waited for the wind to come carry them to the next village. How would WE know!? Everything lost in time. Only things we know are what people carved in cave rock. Lots more things must have existed, flying, messaging, that no knowledge survived about, well the indians had smoke signals, of course other cultures had them too, and hot air ballons were possible many thousands of years ago, imagine skin sails, filled with air over burning fires, and people took trips to foreign lands by FLYING! And no knowledge remains of that actually being facts.
