Totally agree, RF2 devs keep pumping out content but neglecting the core functionality of the sim to allow that content to be used meaningfully. Sadly it’s been this way for years and I don’t see it changing. They need to either move on to an RF3 or fix their current game or it will continue to decline into obscurity.

For me there are multiple Sims missing a kep point. Vibrant, solid multiplayer is CRITICAL. If you give people a reason to return, in general, they will then pay for all the content you want to release later. Look at iracing. It's hellishly expensive but the core reason people go is online racing. Because of that they open their wallets for more.

Personally I don´t mind the aesthetics of FE Gen 3 cars, I mean that´s how they look In RL, and as far as driving well you have to adapt. The real Issue for me Is the AI, It has some Issues when It comes to closed urban circuits no matter what you drive! If It wasn't for that, I would have bought the E-Pack long ago. So I´ll hang on till the get the AI to not slam themselves against walls In closed tracks, I am sorry for S397 but after all It Is a race sim.

Nice vid. This a official Fomula E championship on the way on the CS system right now and Final round top 11 gets to go to London for final race. Not sure if you're heard of the news as yet. Anyone can participate.

I actually quite liked the original Formula E on rF2. If I remember it was the braking I found the hardest to get used to. Good for a quick blast now and then but can't see it getting traction anywhere.

@@pitlanes hope so! I actually really enjoy watching FE on telly, but I’m not at all interested in trying the cars. Maybe one day I’ll get the FE pack if it’s reeeeealy cheap in a steam sale, but there is so much other dlc I’d rather spend my money on.

Full nerd alert! Ooo one thing I picked up on you say mid range there is a kick in power… that shouldn’t really be the case with an electric vehicle unless they have some sort of additional boost. Max torque of an electric motor is at 0rpm so they should have the biggest kick from 0 then it’s sort of levels out, maybe they do have an extra allocation of battery mid range I don’t know or maybe it’s just simulated slightly wrong. They look cool and haven’t driven the earlier model it’s certainly an interesting drive

I wonder whether it's a tyre or power application thing on my part. It just seemed easy to break traction towards the end of the usual traction zone out of corners. My interpretation at the time was that it was some form of drivability....that the power delivery wasn't linear. But it is probably me being an old useless sim racer ha.

I'm guessing you guys don't follow the championship IRL, but I could be wrong so correct me on that please. Because if you had you should have known that it's a big issue for the drivers and they made it clear from day one. I think it's the sim's way of simulating that shitty grip those tires give in real life. It's so bad that the drivers don't even floor it for the exits. They have to feather it otherwise it's straight to a spin. So the kick you guys are talking about is probably after the cars gets to speed and the drivers can then just floor it for the rest of the acceleration phase.

1:06 what do I think of them, I think marmite is the correct UK saying and then really are, at some angles they look amazing at others look like my 7 year old drew a car. Overall though exactly what it says it does on the tin (another UK saying?)

Can you race them properly on normal circuits already? The official FE tracks look like XL rental kart tracks most of the time.

In Sim you can race them.wherever you like. But for me the official FE tracks are insanely challenging with these cars
