That fucking Bush I fell for it every time I would always think that it was a rare pokemon or something but nope Audino Also the fucking beach(forgot the place, forgive me brethren) soundtrack is so fucking good, relaxing, and impossibly nostalgic. No game is perfect, gen 5 isn't perfect, but that doesn't make it any less of a masterpiece. In my opinion at least.

I personally think it looks much better like that, I'd rather have slightly more pixelated sprites if they're fully animated than the old still dead looking sprites with dead looking move animations

What I LOVED about plasma was out of all of the villains in all of the installments, was that the way they went about their plans. While yes they still stole in plain sight, the speeches to make the general public question their relationship with Pokémon, making people release their partners wildlings because they think it’s right, the others just took and that was it. These people had a philosophy that was never really questioned until then. And I liked N’s character development.

As much as I still don't like most of the gen 5 designs (there are still cool ones like hydregion, the hate is usually towards Vanilish, Klang, Timburr, Sock and throw, those sorts) I must conceed the game has nearly everything else going for it. I wish I didn't give up on it on the thunder gym leader. I think I might go back to these.

8:50 has changed my life. No really. This song has shown me the power each instrument can have in a symphony and now i am creating my own songs from scratch all because 11 year old me was gifted a copy of Pokémon Black 2 on his birthday i can not express how genuinely heartwarming this song is every time. And every time i replay the game i let this song go on loop before adding the next instrument and than the next. I have spend hrs just listening

Things Gen 5 did right: Once a repel runs out, it asks you if you want to use another. Animated 2D pixel sprites. Low health timer turned into a sick beat. Both you and the Gym Leader have one Pokemon left, *SICK BEAT* They gave us an actual sequel game. Villains with believable and understandable motives. A slightly more adult storyline. Dynamic camera angles. Reasons why everyone hates Gen 5: Ice cream Pokemon.

from 4:45 to 4:57 absolutely KILLS me, its such a good sequence to go with the beginning of iris's champion theme - alder's various changes in expression were edited super well, but what really gets me is N punching him bc before hes revealed to be the first in the I Beat That Old Man Trio (him, hilda and iris) it looks like he just decided iris was his little sister and he was going to secure her victory out of brotherly affection/obligation

I think that's what the music is supposed to be conveying. If I recall correctly that route is the one that leads to the elite four I think. It's supposed to make you think about the journey that you took to get to that point.

@@jaydenc367 yea. I dont think many people know that pokemon is literally the highest-grossing media franchise... this is why they should be criticized for it. SnS on *Switch* literally looks and plays like a last gen. Ni no Kuni a literal (masterpiece) decade old game on the ps3 looks better then pokemon's current gen title. My point isn't that pokemon should look more like Ni no Kuni, although I would wish it to be, but to state the fact that it wasn't even up to the *Switch's* quality. In regards to the *Remaster of pokemon 4th gen and if it turns out to be the just a slight upgrade to the original ill just play Platinum. because of the look of it it seems to to give the same experience. Either way looking forward to Legend of Arceus, looks promising.

I have very few good memories but one big one is b ing young playing Pokemon b/w and b/w2 and sometimes just stopping on routes or mid battles just to listen to the music. Those games meant so much to me and I loved everything about them

Gen 1-2 music: We are limited to 4 sound channels, but we can still make a nice melody. Gen 3 music: We have lots of trumpets that sound dynamic and diverse in a way. Gen 4 music: We have lots of calm sounding pianos and flutes, except in important battles. Gen 5 music: *now it's time to get funky*

Triple battles reappeared in gen 6 in ORAS ( at least ). And to be honest, rotation battles were an interesting concept, but it definitely wasn't good enough to be consistent in the later games, especially at a professional level of playing. Still cool though.

Getting an overall negative reaction because fanbases are toxic cesspools and giving everyone what they were really asking for the next gen. Shallow, uninspired retreadings of the same stale formula with little effort put in.

They were doing a lot of new things at gamefreak, with it being the first 3d mainline game. They put in a lot of effort, but it mostly went into making new models. They dont have the same excuse anymore tho, because they are using the same models as x and y

Ikr; idk Mandela effect or what 😂 I fr remember how much people used to complain about gen 5 and everything - kind of made me dislike it for a while honestly, but looking back, it probs was most memorable gen for me; think it was the 1st Pokemon game I actually played through properly lol

@@Kai-uj8tg same here. I used the drastic emulator to play it, and I loved every single aspect of gen 5. When I heard Wavering Emotions, it instantly saved a spot in my heart and it still does now. Hearing it at the end of this video along with the comments that were shown with it really hit hard because what they're saying is true. Sadly, there's going to be a day when everyone is going to stop making gen 5 memes and eventually forget about the masterpiece that was the unova games. It really hurts knowing that the day will actually come. I'm not ready to say goodbye to gen 5.

I don't know what was wrong with me as a kid but I didn't realize Iris was the champion and when she showed up to look fierce, clap cheeks and bring the bops I was scared as shit. The last female champion was Cynthia and I still had nightmares

these are not only hilarious but also so fucking artistically well-structured i just now realized how trying to explain or communicating a feeling from a song is also a form of art with memes, movie scenes, other games and films of locations that express a certain feeling everyone understands but cant deconstruct (mostly in the vegas/cassino and old movie segments) these videos really are one in a million and i get it, like any videoclip or commercial, this shows what it feels or makes you think about when listening even beside the association with the game(s) and i find it beautirful
