Great interview. Thanks to Mading Ngor for allowing the man to explain himself without being interrupted. Most interviewers always fail to allow interviewee to explain him/herself.

Building a nation requires patience. Every nation that become a country appreciates every effort brought forth by leaders and their armies who sacrificed their lives for the next generation to carry on the vision planted. Dismissing the Anyanya 1 movement as a mere liberator without vision I found it interesting. SPLA/SPLM was not a movement without fallacy either. For example dismantling of the SPLM and concentrating power on one man's hand during the movement was a bit of issue too. The SPLM as political wing, their job was to house not only policies makers but to strategitize plans and future of what to do should they've achieved plan A or plan B and what if they did not achieve plan A. Pointing @ the notion that Salva Kiir had inherited nothing. However any mistakes that has happened wether during Anyanya 1 or SPLA/M should served as a lesson to fixed what deemed not right at a time and yet appreciate every effort those leaders made. We also need understand that we live in a dynamic world where changes happen all the times in the society that's why many well grounded countries have policies makers working hand in hand with the government because they understand politics reflects societal change. For example, what happened in the 50s leading to rebellious of the Equatoria Corps reflects their environment at a time. What happened in the 60s that led to Anyanya 1 movement also reflects on the historical accounts of their environments at a time. What happened in the 80s leading to the SPLA movement also reflects the changes of its time. To me every effort worth appreciation Now that we achieved our independence, what have we as a country learned from the last 12 years? The point I made is to highlight Gov Aleu historical accounts and I also want to appreciate his efforts on behalf of our country to not only accept what went wrong but to call for unity of the country to move forward. Thanks for your time sir and together South Sudan will be a better nation. What you all have done was great achievements worthy of praise despite difficulties and political upheaval you all have gone through. The government of Kiir have gone through lots of distractions and yet managed to stay foot. As you said it's time to move this nation forward. Looking forward for 2024 election!

Gen. Aleu Is a man of reality. You have spoken the whole problem of South Sudan, Beny, but who will listen to this call when these current leaders are focusing on Oil money more than Establishing the country.🥲🥲
