Wow, 44 years! Thats so incredible. I completed 14 years and got out to finish in the reserves, but it takes someone well committed to do that much time. I love the service, but it wasn't something I could do for such a long career. Thank you for your service GENERAL!

I live on the other side of the ocean and not a huge military person but this General has my deepest respect. He could have ignored the whole issue after it happened but using it to teach other people from your mistakes shows he's a strong man.

His recognization and admitting it being responsible for his mistake is what counts. Their are different kinds of courage under fire.

My Uncle is a full bird colonel retired & served in Vietnam. He then became a dean of a law school & has since worked for 1 of the oldest law firms in the U.S. I had troubles as a kid & was sent to live with my uncle. I can tell you first hand being in the presence of men like Milley & my uncle is all inspiring. Values & morals I learned while living in my uncle's house will stay with me for life. America should be grateful for real patriotic men like these. Country - Duty & Honor before any 1 man. Remember that fascists because there is plenty of us out there.

I'm a 71y/o military brat whose Dad was a US Navy man attached to the Marine Corps and for a brief time in the Army as well. I know more about Military protocol and training than he ever will. Again thanks for helping divert more times than we will ever know the atrocities which would have pleased him.

General Miley reminded me of my grandfather a Veteran in 2nd WW.he said that a soldier must not walk in Uniform behind a corrupt politician.he also said that he wont follow any order from any politician when the order againts the constitution.a soldier must defend his land and its people and not the politician.he died and proud of his uniform and im proud that he is my grandfather.if i have a son,i will name after him❤
