This was an amazing performance! It’s nice to see Filipino culture touch those who are interested! It might not be the traditional version or perfect, but it was nice to see such young yet talented people put a modern twist on the dance and do very well! It is a very hard dance in some instances so I was very impressed!

Props to the dancers, but just as much to the 'musicians', it has to be just as hard to handle those sticks as it is to do the dance moves. This is an insane display of skill, and a remarkable fusion of the old and the new into something far greater than the sum of its parts. Cultural appreciation at its very best.

It's dope to see this generation embracing the culture. I think prior generations strayed off because we were too caught up with becoming westernized & trying to "prove" that we weren't our parents from the old country. Now it's totally flipped & cool to flex your native roots. Mabuhay bitches!

Tinikling, however you make it modern should have 'gracefulness' of hand, feet and body movement. It should not be just about the frantic hop into the space between the bars. I hope anyone (who wish to learn the dance) observes the graceful movement of a real tinikling dancer. (Chin up almost the entire rendition, not looking down at his/her feet, overly aware not to make mistake) Both arms should not be stiff staying straight on the sides of the body as the dance progresses. I'm not a dancer though, but my observation tells a good Tinikling dance rendition versus a "just hop and hops tinikling dance. 'hope this helps.
