2 years ago during my masters many people found me less cool because i wasn't on Instagram. They scroll reels during breaks and i used to read articles on my phone. Somtimes i felt left out but then i started spending time with people who are just like me. This generation is not totally wasted but There are some of gen z like us who have purpose in life and we want to work for our country 🙏🏼💕.

People need to realise that not everyone from the previous generation was a saint or warrior. There were also people who smoked, drank, went to brothels and led a lavish yet useless life. We think the previous generations were the greatest because we come across stories of the greatest people, not the slackers. Similarly, in this generation as well, there are people who ruin their life and also there are people who study or work hard every single day to achieve a meaningful life and go down in history or simply feed their family. Not everyone from this generation is spoiled or a social media addict.

I'm A Gen Z... But i don't use social media apps except KZfaq that too with a screen limit of 2 hour a day. I don't have any cool friends but i don't feel lonely at all because i have my parents. I don't smoke, drink. I do read a lot of books. I know what i want to do with my life. I have purpose and goals and im trying to achieve that goals sincerely. As for the relationship i think I'm more into commitment for forever rather than casual relationship. Every generation has their flaws i know many millennials who don't know the purpose of their life, they had bad habits, they do had casual relationships but we just didn't knew it or that just didn't discussed so much due to communication barriers.

Maturity is when you realise being genz is not so cool cuz delusion is not always the solution 🙂

Honestly, Gen Z is beyond hopeless. Social media has ruined their lives. Gen Z is more concerned about their internet life than their real life. Also another big issue is "social media influencers". These so called rich, successful ppl promote car, bar, cigar, alcohol, girls, promiscuous lifestyle/hookup culture and heavily criticizes conventional jobs like what the previous generations have done. All those online courses will never change your lives. KIDS of today don't wanna put in the work but earn money & become millionaire overnight. I am a Gen Z (2003 born) but obviously I want to connect with past generation, being a Mass Comm, my work has been linked to computers. My childhood has been either with computer games and playing at friends house or enjoying at dance class, I played outdoor less due to a problem, later I started sports after my best friend shifted to another place. Social Media I started using post covid to make new friends or connect with old ones who are long distance but I want to travel and explore a lot and love being outdoors now and connect with small kids as mujhe bachche pasand hain par I hope yeh bachche aage jaakar acchi life jiyen or childhood enjoy karein. I am a GenZ jo apne traditions se judi hoon, committed relations mein maanti hoon or apne filmmaking goals par focused hoon and I have a aim in life.

There are people like me out there who, as aspiring researchers, are pursuing our Ph.D. in astrophysics at India's finest college, IISc Bangalore, alongside my roommates who came with big dreams.

Being a Gen Z, I ma happy to say that I DONT USE social media just for my knowledge and I dont use other social media apps like f and instagram...

Try zen space ,it helps.(if your phone has it) It locks your phone and it won't open any thing except the camera and you can use the phone after the timer is out. Try by using this for about 6-9 hours every day you'll get one habit fixed. If you study from phone get the printouts of whatever you read ( more beneficial - less strain on eyes and neck).

Finally someone said. GenZ just sitting there, wasting resources, making up stupid trends and words that make no sense and have this need to feel important! Ugh

I MIGHT HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION ON THIS First thing there is a term known as generation gap. Genz spends time on social media because it is accessible to them, if social media was invented in 1900s the generation before us would have using it. Second the other terms like depression, anxiety are human psychology and are different for every other person that why its not like everyone is depressed. the last point mentioned in this video about toxic relationships, and drugs is correct because i have seen kids age of 14-15 smoking so I guess its a valid point I personally thing people mature as they age and try to forget the mistakes they made at teenage. tbh every generations have their fair share of lost men, it's just that in this generation people just don't act tough and accept they're mentally unstable, also these polls and statistics became more relevant in the recent years. The problem with the current generation is that they ain't even making an effort to break free from the shackles rather they cope with "this is who I am, embrace your true-self". It's fine to be weak, lost or helpless but it isn't so to continue being one.
