Ok, I guess I should have worded this differently, I don't know how both of these guys really were that day. This was a match and a match it was. Incredible pullers. I just didn't like it. To be factual, Genadi has/is recovering; Ermes is growing. I don't know a damn thing other than what I see hear smell taste and feel. @viking You don't think? That doesn't change the fact that he uses/d GH. In fact most AWs who are over 120 kgs have cycled some dosage of GH. There are exceptions but Genadi isn't one of them. Most AWs also reach their prime between 28 - 35 and he is already there. He won't be getting younger...so his endurance is almost tanked. He can get on more GH and step up his size to say 160 kgs but that ain't gonna get him anywhere. He'll still beat 90--100 kg guys he pinned before and he'll still lose to the likes of Ermes and Levan. In fact some of the new guys will start beating him this season onwards..coz every year there are 2 or more guys in the top league hitting their prime.

@@zii1409 You can say that but this match was only about the hand. If 2 competitors have similar hand strength, then it would not be as must about the hand. But Genadi lost to Ermes superior hand. It is that simple. As one with a strong hand myself one has to have an extremely superior hand to win like Ermes. Normally a opponent cup is always to some degree stronger than your pronator. And then is all about getting the height and some good back pressure to equalize this difference. But in this match Genadi had no power over Ermes pronator at all. Or as you can say a very weak cup for the level there at. So it was all about the hand that was Genadi's achilles heel.

Like Todd and others said, you can win easily over one guy, but that guy might be able beat a guy, that you can't win against. Like going against a long arm is unfavorable for Gasparini, but someone he can beat, could probably beat Alex. But looking forward to many more matches, to have more comparisons

You are mistaking arm strength as a whole and hand and wrist strength. Genadi is far stronger than Ermes as a whole and has far better durability, but when you lose the hand and wrist, you're at a heavy disadvantage + Genadis hand injury and him having in general weak wrist (I assume he doesn't train it). If they were to be in a hook, you would see a different outcome.
