In India, if they find out it's a girl child they abort the girl immediately , Indian prefer to have boy over girls as boys can continue there family name where as girl born in family would be married off and would take husbands name and also in rural India Girl when gets married has to pay dowry So govt has made rule that No gender reveal during pregnancy as it will save Girl child

If its a girl, they usually will abort the baby. They only want boys. Hence why in India, they don't tell the gender to the pregnant moms.
