I & my best friend, (also maid of honor,) got to see him in person, and he told the audience his favorite composition, (song) was "24 Hours From Tulsa!!" What an amazing time in my life!! Early 1960s - greatest pop music mini-period in my memory, and my high school years.

Gene Pitney was way before his time other artists back in the '60s couldn't do hardly anything like him. He was a genius a talented songwriter musician composer you name it he could do it. Sadly he left us way too early He was in his early '60s truly one great musician... He has loads of hits but this one here I believe is my absolute favorite by him...

Saw Gene Pitney at The Fiesta Club, Stockton on Tees when Night Clubs were plush places and a lively night out in the mid to late 60's. What a powerful voice he had.
