Gene didn’t TRY to be an actor… he WAS an actor for a limited number of films. And credit him for giving it a shot. Can’t say he’s uncomfortable in his own skin.

Gene Simmons was good at playing the bad guy and he did a good job at appearing in films where he fit the role. For me his highlights in cinema are the films Runaway and Wanted: Dead or Alive which he starred opposite of Rutger Hauer, he’s actually very serviceable in these films and I do believe that him being in Kiss ultimately led to being in films just a secondary endeavor.

He is SOOO good in 'Never too young to die'! his childhood love for monster movie actors gives him an awesome presence!

Trick or treat is one of my favorite horror movies of all time it has nothing to do with Gene in it but he does play a great role I wish she was in it more

A couple of notable roles he had to turn down were "Flashdance" and "Die Hard"

Meanwhile poor old Paul was carrying the heavy Kiss load! I quite like Trick or Treat in a cheezy sort of way. Got it on DVD and it’s prohibitively expensive on Blu ray.

I remember Gene made an appearance on an episode of Tales Of The Unexpected. It was quirky, campy, and kind of funny, so was OK to watch, but still not high art. Also with a TV episode it's over more quickly, rather than with a feature length film to get tired of.

I think you're Bill Ward's illegitimate son😅😅. Anyway, Gene sucks. The only success and real money he ever made in his life is when the original kiss was together, anything else he failed miserably
