11 жыл бұрынGeneral Adolph Takes Over. In 1935 a powerful propaganda film called "Triumph of the Will" was released in Germany. The British Ministry of Information put together its own propaganda film using "Triumph of the Will" and setting it to the British dance tune "The Lambeth Walk", they made the Nazis look like wind up dolls. The whole point of it was to lampoon the enemy and undermine and ridicule the German propaganda film. The British public loved it. Humour was being used as a weapon of war to boost morale and to subvert the powerful. It is thought the film was seen by Goebbels himself who apparently left the screening screaming and shouting vulgarities.

So there's a family story of mine that comes to mind watching this. During the War period my great grandmother and her daughter went to the pictures one day, and as was customary at the time, a news segment played before the film. My great grandmother (a rather large lady) leaned forward in her chair and accidently let out a fart so loud the entire cinema heard it, at the exact same moment Hitler came up on the screen. Aparently the entire audience was roaring with laughter when this happened 😂

Epic WW2 joke. People still remember it way back in occupied Denmark, they were thrilled but also pretty scared if the Germans all of a sudden walked into the Cinema or were tipped about the special break. They did find out and closed all Cinemas Down for a week or so. Then they reopened. I like the part were the LSSAH tiptoes Down the stairs, I like every bit of this video. Thanks.

@@noelblack8159 Hmmmm I didnt want to confuse you, but in Parades in 1935 the SS didnt use the SS Stickers on the side (They genraly used other helmets) The SS sign on the hemet came in 1938. Btw only the SS had black uniforms no other German division had that. Black was always the colour of the Schutzstaffel (SS)
