Hi Mercy, thank you for reaching out. Cats are very sensitive animals, especially to changes in their environment and so it is very common that veterinary teams need to help and support stressed cats when they are visiting their local practice. We can do this in a manner of ways but we'd recommend contacting your practice to let them know how worried you are about your cat and how they will react when it's time to have the catheter placed. Your cat could potentially be prescribed an anti-anxiety medication prior to their procedure day and that can often help. We hope the dental treatment goes well and your cat feels better soon. Not to worry, patients are treated on an individual basis. As long as their body temperature is normal during the recovery period, they won't have to be under any blankets if they don't want to.
