Unsaid: "We don't normally need them, but when we do need them, them we REALLY need them and we bloody well need them FAST"". Thank you, Sir.

As an outsider I feel that there _is_ something "magic" about these very high grade people trained to a high very level in those particularly demanding and dangerous types of operations. It is normal for them on the inside but it really is far more than normal.

Because he’s a liar and a thief. He stole records and documents from 22SAS after he lost money in the Lloyds names debacle. That’s why DLB is now known as “dirty lying bastard” and unwelcome at SAS functions.

He was my 'boss' in 1985 when I was down South. I was in his office talking to his AdC about a job I was doing for him and he came up behind me. He started chatting to me as though we were equals, although I was petrified, given who he was. He also came chatting to a group of us at his gozome party in HQ BFFI, again as though we were his equal.

What surprises a lot of people is the humble and introverted attitude when not working they don't boast or brag about themselves in the jungle you would find a sas soldier sitting down with the head village man talking while the Americans would be barbecue a pig and wave the flag both are good soldiers but in different ways .

He says that there is "nothing special" about them. That seems to be a trait of those that have no need to brag, they let their actions speak for themselves. He talks quietly and carries his immense parts in a wheelbarrow.

💯% With you. Most of these lads are very quiet and calm types, some would even say introvert, but when it`s time to go to work, you will see a very different side to them.
