Ok. This version of General Zod was epic. In my mind he is the Second most loved villain from DC films Heath Ledger's joker being first. This General Zod was taking on Superman and was on par with him and the scary thing was that Superman knew Zod was getting to be unstoppable because he was getting all his powers as the last fight went on. The senses the getting stronger,heat vision and lastly flight. If Zod would have had the same amount of time with his powers as did Superman he would have killed Superman. He is a trained Soldier for crying out loud. And was beat by a farm boy only because of that.

jor-el said that superman is more powerful than zod and it was proven in movie because superman was holding back so only reason zod was able to fight with him

@@clarkkent5133 no he wasn't. And Jor El only said that because he was trying to get into Zod's head. Clearly Zod was becoming stronger and more powerful than Superman in the movie. But then the Superman that fought Steppenwolf that would be a different story.

Sad thing is...Zod really isn't a 'villian'. He's just a man trying to save his own people which makes his story in the film tragic

@@NeoFromXbox Thor has taken on Galactus. Was really the only one to be able to withstand a fight against The Phoenix. It's hard to compare because DC, Marvel. Thor is 1500 years old and Zod is an alien I don't know how the fight would go. Would probably be a very long fight because they're both ridiculously durable.

Venus was inhabitable... Earth had life and the codex. Why would Zod risk 33 years of preparation to terraform an inhabitable planet when Earth was perfect?

@Jdne199311 Yes Earth wasn't suitable solely based on the fact that the atmosphere was 'alien' to the Kryptonians. But the main difference between Earth and other planets is that Earth had life on it. And that was a factor in terraforming a planet. Also, when General Zod was telling Clark his story in the dream sequence, Zod pointed out that he went to the ancient colonial outposts (in hopes of finding life) however all he found was death. And it is where he acquired the World Engine and other equipment. If that colonial outpost had life he would have terraformed it there and then, and then went after the codex.
