Command & Conquer: Generals is a real-time strategy video game and the seventh installment in the Command & Conquer series.
It was released for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS operating systems in 2003 and 2004. While the Windows version of Generals was developed by EA Pacific and published by EA Games, the Mac OS X version was developed and published by Aspyr Media. The Mac OS X version was re-released by Aspyr for the Mac App Store on March 12, 2015.
In the game, the player can choose from three different factions: the United States, China and the Global Liberation Army (GLA). Generals utilizes SAGE (Strategy Action Game Engine), an extended version of the Command & Conquer: Renegade's 3D engine. An expansion pack, entitled Command & Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour, was additionally released for PC in 2003, and for Mac OS in 2005.
Both Generals and Zero Hour were met with highly positive reviews. A sequel, Command & Conquer: Generals 2, was in development, until it was repurposed to a free-to-play game known as simply Command & Conquer. The new game was part of the Generals franchise and was cancelled on October 29, 2013 by EA after negative feedback during the closed alpha test.

Zero Hour video? Love this game! I hope the rest of the challenges will follow. I've seen a fair number of your Red Alert 2 1v7 brutal armies which are really cool to watch, but this video definitely got the sub. Do you know about the scaffold trick to get the AI to waste their superweapons on them? Building some scaffolds for buildings like the war factory or barracks, waiting until the SW fires and then cancelling the build to remove the scaffold and get the money back. It's most useful on this challenge vs the SW general and vs the Laser general, and something I found most useful in getting through those challenges with my sanity intact

I haven't played in Generals since I was a kid like in other games, but since I started, I've really discovered a very good game.

Her and Granger.. for some reason they start with a max tier of superweapons and if you actually do the math, it doesn't add up, they had carpet bomb, moab, a10, spy drone (you have to unlock it), stealth fighter, snipers and paradrop. and granger has the specter gunship on top of that So they have more than standard general points Not to mention granger gets an emergency reinforcements flag trigger if you attack his command centre. Pretty ridic

@@user-gi6hd5ol6f Granger's the air force general, right? Just mass up a bunch of anti air, specifically anything that shoots bullets instead of rockets. Cuts them out of the sky faster and they don't have countermeasures for bullets. But Alexander drops everything on you every 10 seconds which is such a hassle if you ask me

@@kamikaze4172 oh he's easy to beat, i was just mentioning how he has access to more general promotion abilities than normal. and that only applies to USA generals, china/gla gens barely use their general abilities

Agreed the aurora bombers imo are the most annoying even with avengers they can still damage buildings and troops

won't picking the rank upgrade at the beginning make this easier? i always found that the miniguners were also quite effective as they are built x2 for the price

I probably have no room to say it but I will anyway...your anti-aircraft defense has a lot to be desired. But, I could be wrong. It just seems like that is what causes you the most grief.

Hey dude. My tactic was to always send rocket men forward to sacrifice them against the planes. If I tried to build gatling cannons, they would always be destroyed and cost me much more. I'd better sacrifice a soldier that costs 200..

@@zoom3000 I feel sorry for those guys though because sometimes you were giving the new guard his orders while the explosion was still taking place! "You there, you see that crater where your buddy was just standing? Go over there and guard it!"
