Command & Conquer: Generals is a real-time strategy video game and the seventh installment in the Command & Conquer series.
It was released for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS operating systems in 2003 and 2004. While the Windows version of Generals was developed by EA Pacific and published by EA Games, the Mac OS X version was developed and published by Aspyr Media. The Mac OS X version was re-released by Aspyr for the Mac App Store on March 12, 2015.
In the game, the player can choose from three different factions: the United States, China and the Global Liberation Army (GLA). Generals utilizes SAGE (Strategy Action Game Engine), an extended version of the Command & Conquer: Renegade's 3D engine. An expansion pack, entitled Command & Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour, was additionally released for PC in 2003, and for Mac OS in 2005.
Both Generals and Zero Hour were met with highly positive reviews. A sequel, Command & Conquer: Generals 2, was in development, until it was repurposed to a free-to-play game known as simply Command & Conquer. The new game was part of the Generals franchise and was cancelled on October 29, 2013 by EA after negative feedback during the closed alpha test.

strange. i beat leang many times with every general and just wanted to know how others did it. seems like leang is playing very different against me. especially the migs seem to attack me where it hurts most. is this really on hard?

Man I was about to give up. But then I saw that you too were getting the daylights bombed out of you. In the end I needed 6 particle beams. Then I spread out my power plants, sold my airfield and built a war factory(to spam at least 6 avengers. I could never drop the carpet bomber but I at least was able to minimize its damage with the avenger and stop the other enemy air raids. I did position a lot of the laser towers on the bottom of the cliff and mixed some avengers in to minimize power consumption. Thanks 🙏

because clustering power plant and having it destroyed, then rebuild in the same cluster is so smart. getting units destroyed when reinforcement is next to it having 3 particle cannons and not using on their superweapon at one go is very wise too.

I've watched your other videos against Leang with other generals, and their pretty good. Your SW video aginst Leang is awesome because your command of units was strong. I have to say, this one was a bit scrappy imho. I have a few notes. Firstly, snipers are a major benefit in this battle. I too cut Leang off at the North bridge and use the top right most civilian building along with an avenger to guard against migs, because its not nearly as easy to guard against migs near the cliff of your base. I also put one or two snipers in those buildings because she likes to send hero NPCs down from the North. The snipers are also good for cutting down the infantry clusters which is especially helpful for Townes because those darn laser turrets just don't deal damage to infantry very well. I feel like snipers would have saved you a major headache. Without a battle chinook or a helix, it's more difficult to push out of the base early. The reason I think it's beneficial to cut off the north bridge, is because it gives you time to push out from your base. Those bunkers near the entrance to your base? Flashbangs! You wasted a lot of time and resources trying to blast the daylights out of those bunkers. As others have pointed out, bunching up the power plants over and over is probably not wise. You also wasted a lot of time looking for ways to use that gun ship and then cancelling. Trying to attack the powerplants without adequate firepower meant you wasted that firepower, because you weren't successful in taking out her power on the first attempt. You also didn't have units prepared to invade once the power was down. There were also a lot of times where poor placement of defensive weapons led to rebuilding of those weapons which cost you a lot of dough. Anyway, I hope you don't find my suggestions rude; just trying to provide some helpful critiques. I applaud your persistence though. Usually, when my back is against the wall that badly, I just ESC then restart. Props for pushing through!

I have to admit, when i made these videos, i was pretty new to Generals. I had previous experience from other C&C games, but not really here. I Believe nowadays I can do it little better

@@zoom3000 I watched this video because I was looking for ideas to beat that mission. What worked for me was to just push unrelentingly up the East side of the map after cutting off the North bridge. I see almost every player stop and go on the defensive prior to the overlord drop zone. I decided to just keep pushing with Comanches as cover. Once you've captured the turrets and filled the bunkers at the drop point, it's a breeze. I used your tactic of using the chinook to drop a ranger and capture the turret near the base in order to get rid of that pesky avenger.

@@zoom3000 Oh and I used aroras to get the drop on the overlords. The laser tanks do a great job on the rest of the vehicles.

you do realise this is challenge mode not multiplayer / skyrmish , just because he doesn t get particle canon for 2500 and gets it for normal price 5000 , doesn t mean you shouldn t use it

it's a normal tactic vs leang and alexander. it is usually more effective to rebuild in the same spot and draw that fire than let them aim their super weapons and general powers at a more compact base.

@@iskandarzulkarnain8848 There's Generals, then there's an expansion called "Generals: Zero Hour". In the Zero Hour expansion there is a game mode called "challenge", this is part of that game mode.
