The history is really relevant today, but it irks me how the staff explains it wrong. It's a song contest. Voice, peformance etc is just to stand out. An act shouldn't be rated lower cause of the performer's voice (if there is no mistake). It's a song contest not a best singer contest. Song doesnt become automatically better if there are high notes or sth.

They gotta react to this years Eurovision it was iconic and the winning act was so good, by far my favorite song. A bit disappointed Norway didn’t win though since I’m Norwegian and Tix is such a wholesome guy and his outfit and the staging was iconic.

why is everyone taking this so out of context... we know that Holland started the voice. by her saying “their version” she is specifying that it is not the American version that she is use to. that sentence does not imply that america was the creator of the voice. we all know it wasn’t. we all know.

Yeah! In Norway, we have our own the voice versions(yes, plural), but that is not where we choose our Eurovision representative! We have our own show for that! Eurovision does not get anywhere near the voice and X factor.

Let's not fool ourselves, eurovision is all about politics. The voting (especially the juries), the song themes. Everything is about politics even if they don't want to admit it. I'm not saying that they should have let the incident pass, but criticizing them for bringing politics in eurovision is, to say the least, ironic.

Also the production of Eurovision is 100 000 times bigger than any other singing competition its in its own league. Has an insane budget that allow them to do extreme quality and technical design, it’s actually bigger in some sense even to superstar size big concerts.
