This is now my new favorite Channel! My kids aren't old enough for traditional homeschool yet, but I've already mapped out a k-12 curriculum plan. Generations is a big part of that plan so it's nice to hear from another homeschool mom reguarding the curriculum!:)

Thank you for the review. I was praying about what science curriculum to use for the upcoming school year for my 6th and 8th grader. This curriculum sounds great and will be doing this curriculum this upcoming school year.

Thanks for your review! We have used Generations for several years and finished God Made Animals this past year. I was planning to use God Made Life in the Fall with my 5/6 grader and her K brother ( He likes to listen). I think I'll save it for another year though.

Does it have an Audio Version? My son would love this but is dyslexic and I am worried about trying to read the whole textbook to him.

That's going to depend greatly on your child. There's such a wide spectrum. My son usually spends 30-45 minutes doing his, but that's just him.

Now that you’ve used this longer do you have a preference between Generations science and Apologia? Both look so good.

I honestly love them both. I use more Apologia because they have the higher grades/levels available where Generations doesn't yet. My son loves them both equally as well ❤

I was considering using this book while we were schooling on the road for 6 months - do you think we can get a lot out of this if we are traveling and might not be able to do the "experiments"?

Can you tell me how Generations compares to Abeka since I know you've done both? Especially history and science? I don't enjoy Abeka history so I'm curious if this company is better or if it's pretty similar.

I think generations is more conversational, doable, engaging, biblical, and less textbook feel. Both are good but definitely feels like different styles. I also think generations goes a little deeper on some history when it comes to the reformation, reformers, church history and how it all ties together and Christ providence and sovereignty.

We've used God Made Everything, God Made Animals, and currently God Made the World. Next year my going to be 3rd grader will be doing God Made Plants and my 7th graders will be doing God Made Life 😁 I've been very pleased with Generations science and praying they make a high school science.
