Generative AI in Healthcare: Current and Future Applications.
Generative AI is the creation of text, audio, image or video content via software artificial intelligence.
Generative AI to create healthcare content has amazing current and future uses. Here are 3 examples:
1. Generative AI in combination with Ambient Voice Recognition and Natural Language Processing can be used to automatically create a doctor's visit note. The doctor does not need to type or dictate a note at all... It is created with the proper formation and information just based on the patient visit conversation. Deep Scribe is a company that is doing this today.
2. Generative AI can write a prior authorization request letter from a doctor to an insurance company with a simple text command. Doximity has a beta version of this Generative AI technology today.
3. Generative AI can summarize health insurance plan documents or allow a user to ask a question and the Generative AI will automatically search the plan document and tell the user the answer. No more looking though long PDF documents to answer a coverage question. Unriddle.ai allows users to load PDFs and perform these functions today.

Guess we are moving toward doctors who will become proctors during a patient visit which over time will lead to a decrease in doctors' skill and competence. Thanks for sharing technologies that are being used today.

It would be great to have AI be connected to a central portal and identify common patterns. If X amount of patients takes A meds and B meds, they develop this type of cancer 3-5 years later. Then the Doc can decide if B med is suitable to prescribe. This portal can be connected worldwide image the data it can learn from.

Hello Dr.Bricker, I'm unsure if you're familiar with Cano Health? They have recently had problems with the CEO, and the board, and some ex-board members have filed a lawsuit against the company. We expect to get a judge's decision soon given the atrocities at the company. Id love to hear your take, possibly how much you think the company is worth, and what you think the outcome will be!
