It takes more than a generator to have a system. Thanks for the video!

Hi Gavin! I'm new to all the stuff generators electrical panels etc. I am attempting to get a cost-effective whole house backup system. I have my 90-year-old Alzheimer's parent living with me now and need to make sure we have heat and electricity in power outages. I have currently settled on getting a firman to9371. I think that's the model number. It's sold at Lowe's for about $1,300 not including shipping. It will run 6900 watts on natural gas. So my plan is to get this generator have it connected to my natural gas line so I don't have to worry about trying to get out and get fuel we'll go outside and refuel with a 90-year-old that won't let me out of her sight. She will follow me outside into the dangerous weather so I've got to have as much hands off as possible. I have a 3-ton air conditioner so I'm going to get the soft start unit for the AC. I am trying to find a way that this generator with electric start can be automatically started, The transfer from the main to the generator happens automatically, And then when it detects that the grid is back on it would automatically reverse the process... Am I dreaming? Is this possible? If so if someone could give me the components I need to make that happen I would really appreciate it. I really like your videos they're clear and concise and easy to follow for somebody who doesn't know what's going on!

Hey, thanks for the comment. So basically, you’re looking for a tri fuel inverter generator that supports ATS, currently no manufacturers has an ATS on the market. The one I’m waiting on will be release sometime early spring.

Thank you. I'm hoping my HVAC MacGyver guy can figure out some way to automate it as much as possible! I went ahead and ordered the Firman from Lowe's

I'm going to be a tree by the time Genmax gets that ATS to the market.

Gavin, given bang for buck, would you purchase a 9k-12.5k inverter or 6k-10k solar battery backup? Connecting to a 50amp outlet. Need to ensure pool, furnace and other household items can operate in outage during winter in Tx.

If you’re looking for some kind of backup system like this, you have to go with an inverted generator. If you wanna go into more details, call me sometime you can find my number on the website gavins-garage.com

It seems like the main will still be in the on position if you use these devices allowing generator voltage to go out on the grid?
@GeneratorReviews9 ай бұрын
No that’s impossible, that is exactly what these were designed to do.

The labels for the LED indicators on that last ATS aren't aligned which leads me to believe it is a prototype unit.

Could you do a video on a Generlink system. Not a generack. I’m wanting a Generlink but there is not much information on it.

The orange one is from Russia, which is why nobody can find it anymore. Sanctions and stuff because of Ukraine invasion.

Why not tell us the price of the units?
@GeneratorReviews9 ай бұрын
I don’t tell the price because prices change. So when the price change, my video is wrong, and everyone leaves comments you told the wrong price. So simply just click the link in the description, it will have the current price.
@dangeroustoman9 ай бұрын
@@GeneratorReviews all you have to say is at the time of this video they are.
@PivotHER9 ай бұрын
The price is in the link. Prices change daily, Click the link to find the updated prices. Very simple thing to do.
@dangeroustoman9 ай бұрын
@@PivotHER the point is why should I have to follow the link when I'm here already and it's a good way to keep track of how the prices change from year to year. In five years some newbie will be holy crap that use to cost that much or that little.
