there's a guy who mapped out the entire city, traced the steps before stray fell down the wall, and it suggests that strays home was right by the entrance where you leave at the end. Also at the start where you sleep with the other cats, there is a room at the end that reads "access control room", which is the room where you open the ceiling. It gives the feeling that stray was always close to home

From what I understand it means “I love you” in cat saying. He was probably acknowledging the city, the robots, b12 and the player letting them all know thank you and he loves them all including the player. The glitching at the end MAY have been B12 saying “I love you” back to the cat.

This is Cat saying that our story together is over. He's not a pet, he's a stray, and he goes his own way. The blink at the end is him telling us 'thank you for keeping me safe, friend, but we must part ways'.

Same here. This was the very first game where I legit cried for about five minutes straight. When a game hits you in the feels like that, you know it's a real winner.

how unlikely is that? coming out, in a vast landscape.. it all depends on pure lucky they see each other again. highly unlikely ;) you know what... did you realize the small glitch at the door. fun fact, b12 is toast, but the system is still alive and might boot up again, close the roof and let those poor fucks live in darkness again going full circle like they showed us in "inside" also a pretty dope game with an ending that you might not understand at all in the first place, but once you do with a bit help of YT, you'll love and hate it, same like my words :D have a great day

This game just showed us the beginning of "stray" journey, saving the city and giving the robots a better life, now that he's free, he'll go find his family, probably in Stray 2 of dlc

@@darthvocrum5719 does this game need a sequel? inside didnt need one either and sometimes its unsatisfying in the first place but once you think about it, is it really necessary? the studio rather tries to evolve than stick to an ending people expect, because lets face it it was more like a visual novel that srsly a game. the controls were barely existent and pretty repetitive. in the end it was a 3d point and click game, no freedom to make decisions or mistakes except get overrun by the buggers. everyone agrees that it was pure eyecandy how everything comes together rather than every detail looks good on its own. comparison, same type of game but for me way more depth is „observer“ a pc game that is based same as this game on the neo gothic universe but the tone of the game is at least crystal clear dark but you wont see it coming. imo and i do not share common no reason positivity the ending is also dark that like in the first indiana jones movie, you realize that you doing has no effect on the entire outcome. cat goes out to the base status in case it finds his hood and the charismatic robots from the ghetto peeked freedom once until system started up again because b12 clearly roasted himself and he said that he will do so for the cat, so facility goes back to the beginning status and everything might end where it all started except the robots have chance and maybe hope they can go up now (depending on the system reboot time) and that the cat knows about everything but well… the moment it dies, all gone and just because it might know something cat couldnt preserve details because of lack of language ;) hope is the tragic part in this story, hope for robots to reach freedom and hope for the player all goes well for cat and robots but truth is, hope is the most toxic thing for a mind to break on. like every mother telling their child they are special until you find yourself bound to a job you need but dont like and realize its something moms keep telling their kids ^^ life is some brutal neo gothic novel and so is stray in my opinion but if you like to see it otherwise, platon has some cool stories written down about caves and shadow novel about seeing the truth and not an image of the truth people make you believe. its deep stuff and the term i know that i know nothing comes from it. interesting stuff and plot of many games we like to make us think. if stray keeps people talking like “inside” job well done because its not a game, its a visual “playable” novel with no alternative routes like “the stanley parable”

Who or what would be the antagonist in Stray 2 ? You can't have a game with a Cat just walking around looking for it's clowder. Unless the delvopers decided that dogs or other cats are chasing the cat. But that would be a lazy and stupid move

Maybe cause I’m an animal lover and I wanna know the cat is safe. Just cause he’s outside again does not mean crap to me. I wanted to be with him till he found his family. Everything about this game was great up until the ending and I’m not the only one who’s been upset about this ending. There needs to be answers. Was that glitching B12 at the end? Did the cat know the area? Did he find his family? We deserve a sequel or something that explains all this?

There Are A Lot Of Loose Ends That Need To Be Solved, Like Will Doc, Momo, Clementine, & Zbaltazar Ever Reunite? Will Stray And Its Kitty Companions Reunite As Well? Will The Companions (Robots) Venture Outside To See What's It Like After Hundreds Of Years Inside Wall City 99? That's Why We Need Either A DLC Or Stray 2 (Or A Netflix Movie)To Explain This Stuff To Us.
