Not sure what you're talking about, Korean cars are not the same as the Japanese when it comes to reliability. Mercedes, BMW and Audi don't offer build quality or customer service? What country do you live in? You think going to a Hyundai dealership is great customer service? A car is all about customer service and reliability? Why not buy a Camry and save more money?

@Tonny Almeida Here in the UK, KIA and Hyundai perform very well in documented reliability surveys. Way better than German manufacturers. Yes I would have a Lexus over a Genesis, but Genesis will give you superior customer service and more of a luxury car buying experience than Mercedes, BMW or Audi.

@@MercOne Just to give you some facts. Here in the UK, KIA and Hyundai perform very well in documented reliability surveys, way better than German manufacturers. Mercedes, BMW and VW/Audi score poorly for reliability and customer service in the UK. This is well documented in published customer surveys (Auto Express magazine KIA in top ten for reliability, Mercedes bottom 10 for reliability.) These are not my words, they are documented in many reliability surveys. Also go check out the 2022 JD power survey in the U.S. To answer your question about price, in the UK a Toyota Camry is £32k and a Genesis G80 is £37k so not a great difference.

Another thing - you didn't mention the Lexus ES. If one could do without folding seats, then the ES is a very serious competitor, with better fuel economy. (it's a hybrid).

I killed the E-Class with my Skoda Superb, bigger boot, better rear leg room, super quiet with Hankook tyres, nappa leather seats are super comfortable....could have bought an E-Class, glad I didn't.

@@gordonhamilton727 I had high hopes for the Superb, and test drove a few no less than five times, trying desperately to like it, but it just seemed to be too noisy inside - too much ingress of road rumble etc. It also didn't seem quite as roomy as all the reviews suggested. I got another Caprice instead. Interestingly though, i tested a Passat sedan recently, and it was very quiet and refined. It's my understanding that they share the same platform, so maybe my impression of the Superb was somehow "wrong", and purely imaginative??? Anyway I'm glad you like it - I love the design of the lift-back sedan.

@@OsvUkVehicleSupply I’m shocked they still selling Diesel engines, but I bet they have thousands in storage so they have to get rid. Once they sell the Diesel engines they’ll bring the price of EV’s down !
