Zain has the potential to comeback, he was super close (last stock situation, game 5) in this set. Also Zain at one point had aMSa's number until Double Down 2022, he could do it again. Though funny enough Zain mentioned he stopped practicing the Yoshi match-up and practices the aMSa match-up because all other Yoshi's are nowhere near aMSa's level of proficiency yet.

I think thats the main part of it, there aren't any other Yoshis to play against who are as good as AMSA. even a bot wouldn't be able to replicate the way AMSA plays@@coolyeh1017

Quit making excuses man. Amsa won all those games fair and square. You make it sound like it’s a 0-10 mu for Marth. Even if yoshi was “broken”, the set was still insanely close, as all the sets between Amsa and Zain are. And don’t forget the fact that Amsa is literally the ONLY yoshi player at competitive level. Amsa has honestly been on the cusp of top 5 for many years now imo, Yoshi was considered a very bad character up until Amsa showed everyone how far he can go. I'd put Yoshi in top 10 or top 8 at this point knowing now how many tools he has, and him and Zain have always had pretty close sets from what I can remember

I would guess that he is using a relatively lower tier character at the highest levels and winning tournaments. There are probably a very small amount of yoshis that have won any tournaments throughout the life of this game.

@@MrAnimescrazy Also aMSa's Yoshi simply outclasses all other Yoshi's. With aMSa in Japan, he rarely plays Slippi or online in the NA region (plays in JP region) due to immense lag. Zain commented that aMSa just outclasses every other Yoshi player in Melee out there and that practicing with them will cause him to develop bad habits. It is said that Zain , Kordorin, and other Marth mains spend more time playing catch up (according to Kodorin) because every time one of those Marth mains fights aMSa's Yoshi, aMSa brings out new tech causing them to go back to the drawing board.
