Mr. Watson your are certainly one of the best singer’s there’s ever been, I remember going to see you at a bar in Houston off Parker Rd. I believe it was called Bull Whip that’s was about the time Farewell Party come out I was a teenaged boy back then I been a fan since then, I also new your dear Parents Mr. and Miss Watson they were fine folks I’ve been to their home down at the lake we called it the River Bottoms I would buy tires from Mr. Watson at his tire shop in Shepherd yes good people. Thank you Mr. Watson for all the good songs God bless. P.S My wife says she’s love’s your voice as well.

Gene, when I was a teenager, my sister and I would fight over Elvis and you. You always won because I could outwit my sister. You will always be a winner in my book. I love your voice and I hope all your songs are around forever. These young folks needs to hear real country music and your beautiful voice.☺☺👍👍💖💖

@Genwatson for years & years! Went to see your show in Bowling Green, KY....it was so great! Years ago, i loved your music....then it wasn't on the radio later on. My baby brother told me you are his favorite singer & I thought... I need to get back to listening to the good country music. So for last 15 years, I listen to real country music & you sir are the best!! Thank you for what you do.

Dear Gene Watson, You asked how long have I been listening to your songs? To be very honest about a year now. Please don't be offended as in California when I was first listening to Country Music I only heard Elvis, Kenny Rogers, Roy Rogers etc. I am 73 now and because of the internet and KZfaq I was able to witness you performing and hearing your fabulous voice and just simply fell in love with all your fabulous songs and interviews and performances. But lucky for me all your CD's are still available and I intend to buy everyone of them a bit at a time. My best friend is from North Carolina. She is 7 years my senior and has listened to you since you first started out. Congratulations on becoming a member of The Grand Old Opry, we as fans are just so very proud of you. I am now introducing all my friends to your fabulous voice and we all wish you could visit us with a live performance here in California. We have many Indian Casinos that are beautiful and showcase really great bands like your Farewell Party Band. Might never happen but a woman can sure have her dreams. By the way sincerely you are getting better looking as you age so gracefully. Please take care and keep up the great performances.
