The Vijayanagara Empire rose to prominence as a culmination of attempts by the Southern powers to ward off Muslim invasions by the end of the 13th century. At its peak, it subjugated almost all of Southern India's ruling dynasties and pushed the sultans of the Deccan beyond the Tungabhadra-Krishna River doab region, in addition to annexing Gajapati Empire (Odisha) up to the Krishna River, thus becoming a notable power. The Empire lasted for 300 years.

"great"? what's with that metaphor. Use "cruel" and "ruthless". You call him 'great' despite his cruelty and the immense suffering he inflicted? Sure, running a kingdom might require tough decisions, but there's a difference between necessary firmness and outright brutality. Glorifying a tyrant who crossed that line is a disgrace to humanity!

Alexandar is by far a better conquerer since he acomplished it 1300 years before genghis and had lesser technology. Genghis is more impress in the sense that he was destined to death after his father got assasinated yet he still were able to unit the mogol tribes. Alexandar on the other hand pretty much was planted to be a conqueror by his family

Alexander is no were near Genghis or even his general like subetai who alone conquered more territory then him. Alexander never invented phalings technique himself, his father invented it, he conquered entire greece made his army battle hardened and gifted this master piece army to Alexander like Nepo baby. There is never a Alexander without Phillips. Also the kingdom Alexander conquered were mostly tribal collusion ,had no were near fighting advance as Alexander. Even Persia was totely not uniform, there were different tribes had their own fighting techniques, stood no chance against phalings. Alaxander conquest are often equated with colonial empire conquering Africa or south America which never stood any chance to begin with due to technological gap.Forget about Genghis Khan, I don't even consider Alexander equal to his father who conquered strongest kingdom in the world that time, rubbing steel with steel.

@@shivashankar-xy8zm I have read extensively about Alexander, Ceaser, Genghis, Cyrus, etc. And as I said he accounts the timeline and events correctly but he presents it in a way that entirely white-washes Khan. For example: He killed his brother not because the family was starving, he killed him because the brother took his fish once. another example - His son-in law was killed in the battle and in retaliation, he killed every man, his army brutally raped every woman in front of their family and then killed, he killed every animal, cattle, horses, dog. cat, etc. He then waited for weeks for the poor people who had somehow managed to fled the onslaught. Once they returned to mourn, he caught them and killed them too. all this for one fallen relative in a battle. Do you now think that Genghis was a man driven by Justice as Abhijit Chavda makes him out to be ??

@@saumitrad I'm just pointing out most of the rulers of history were like that. It is just always temujin they point out. Why not say the same about the likes Churchill or any other European kings. Although he is just a prime minister Churchill was considered the greatest countryman. Leave those in power they will backpedal.. ask common populace of britain about him.. they take pride in him. That is what irks me.. im not supporting chengiz just pointing out the flaw in accusations. Even alexander is considered as great but who knows whT his soldiers suffered through, he waged war on kingdom without any valid cause and killed millions but he is great. Romans utterly decimated anyone who doesn't bend their knee but they are considered great. Why not the mongol empire .. just view it like yet another ruler having his way with the world. Can you?

I don’t think it is as simple as that. Every ruler did what he did in the interests of his own state. Chalukya killed the Pallava king and in retaliation the Pallavas went and burnt the Badami capital. Now should Kannadigas venerate Chalukya because they were Kannada Kings and hate Pallavas because they were Tamilians? Where does this lead us to nothing but hate for Tamilians? That is very crude terms what the right wing historians are doing.

Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire in India, was from the Timurid dynasty. His lineage includes: 1. **Timurid Lineage**: Babur was a direct descendant of Timur (Tamerlane), the Turco-Mongol conqueror who established a large empire in Central Asia in the late 14th century. Babur's father, Umar Sheikh Mirza, was a descendant of Timur. 2. **Genghisid Lineage**: Through his mother, Qutlugh Nigar Khanum, Babur was also descended from the Mongol ruler Genghis Khan. Qutlugh Nigar Khanum was a princess of the Chagatai Khanate, one of the successor states of the Mongol Empire.

Mongols (Duwa Khan of Chaghatai Khanate) attacked India 6 times during the reign of Sultan Alauddin Khalji. Alauudin Khalji defeated all these 6 Mongol invasions. These were large scale invasions between the year 1298 to 1306. In one of these invasions, Mongols employed 200,000 cavalry horsemen. It was more than that Halagu Khan used during his invasion of Baghdad (capital of Abbasid Caliphate) which emloyed 150,000 horsemen. You should have mentioned these details in your discussion. That's how less you know about history. Do you thing during an invasion people will be sitting in the side eating popcorns. Ofcourse if you have to dismantle a nation first dismantle it's populace. Our indian kings killed each others and your great ashoka killed.. every king only think about his nation nothing else. Justice only exist for your own people. And often chengiz khan retaliated not invaded. His entire conquest of China is retaliation.

Jambu dweepa , Mehula , aryavart are some of the names foreign visitors of ancient India called it. Aryavart and Jambu dweep is also mentioned numerous times in our ancient scriptures. Megasthenes in ' Indica' clearly mentions the whole as India , not just one particular region . It was kind of present center ( chakravarti) and state system( rajya). Kindly get your facts right.

@@k.devika1595 by throwing in some fancy names you are trying to prove you are a knot it all. Bro the concept of ancient India is false . As a culture it extended to Afghanistan you may argue but each king held his territory it was not a country with same laws . Just a group and BORDERLESS .

@@dailyhacks4634 Gosh! You are one of those I see. It's all written my friend......the evidence exists whether you like it or not . And simply because you aren't well read, do not cast the same aspersions on me. I have read the Indica, Huang Tsang descriptions of india as well as various ' smritis' and ' intihasa'. Of course to the ignorant these all will sound like ' Fancy words '. And you say there were no laws. The whole of india followed specific rules during hostile events like wars too. It's clear you haven't a lick of what your talking. Do continue, it's futile arguing with the ignorants with arrogance...... who enjoy to be a rut of stupid assumptions, rather than doing the simple job of actually READING the said book.

@@k.devika1595 yes I am one of those mate . The issue with throwing names as you have is to prove your point you are sticking to one time zone . For instance huna empire went from parts of UP to Iran . So we cannot safely say this is one country . Mughals never truly made it to parts of tamilnad or srilanka so thier rules did not apply in these southern parts why? Because it wasn't one nation . To justify saying I ready hyung sang hence I know everything is a fools errand
