Home is where the heart is, or at least, that’s the way the old saying goes. It doesn’t matter where your home is or what it looks like, so long as it’s full with the people you love.
That’s one of the reasons why architects design houses that they hope are not only beautiful and functional, but that reflect the people who are living inside of it. If they can make these homes unique, it’s even better.
When one architect was on vacation in Spain, he stumbled across an abandoned old building. Everyone else saw something that should be torn down, but he only saw the potential to transform it into an incredible home-provided he could get past its former function.

smart architects know how utilize salvage materials, but yeah it takes money, but it's like a savings account when it's a rare property like this place. (his company operated out of part of it, so there is deductions right there) and the whole thing is example of what they can do with old european buildings.

Incredible. I love to watch video's on old abandoned places so I can dream of doing something like this (though it will never happen with me because I don't have that kind of money). It is great to see someone can and DID. "Genius" is an understatement (but I don't have a better one)

What a nice place, he has changed up something ugly into a palace. You have little pronunciation mistake, "fábrica", has its stress on the first syllabe (fa) not on the second one (bri). Spanish is a tonal language if you change the stress you change the meaning of the word. If you say "la faBRIca" you are saying "he makes her up", but if you say (la FAbrica") that means "the factory"

I lived across the street from a concrete plant for 14 years. Any day they took a day off, strangers to the neighbourhood would exclaim how beautiful the abandoned factory was. Although it was neither abandoned nor a factory, it was and still is beautiful in an austere, decayed way.
