For me the most hardest and most difficult one to maintain is DISCIPLINE and FOCUS and to have MENTAL FORTITUDE to accept failure as common thing and move on. I believe, if we do things with those three above consistently, we can be a genius as well.

I believe genius people genuinely love what they are doing and not pursue things only for validation from society. Of course they enjoy progress just like everyone else but when the journey becomes a goal the goal becomes a journey. Act out of joy and not out of fear
@stevenwongso66
@stevenwongso66 Жыл бұрын
@@Whatever-xr3mu I agree. But beside genuinely loving what you do, you need also to have a MENTAL FORTITUDE. If not, a failure can led you to a depressed situation and even leaving doing something that you really love. I have seen that situation too many times to count including myself.

In my experience, knowing quite a lot of successful people, the deciding factor is making choices that put you in a position to be in the right place at the right time, and working to minimize the effect of bad luck while maximizing the effect of good luck. It can look from an outside perspective like they just got lucky, but it's really a culmination of small decisions made over a long period of time. For example, it's quite likely at some point in their lives, most people will have the opportunity to meet a millionaire (even if that's just their landlord or the owner or a company they work at). What a successful person does is follow up and try to maintain that relationship. That puts them in a position where they're able to make connections. But notice they started out as just an employee or a tenet like anyone else

In my opinion I think the most important trait is intellectual curiosity. If you read the biography of any genius you’d notice that all of them carry knowledge that usually people at their age, or same level of education don’t have. I believe people are just born this is, this is what makes the difference between someone who actually loves the field and someone who doesn’t and the hard truth is that most of us don’t have it.

Tips for a genius mind: 1.Become obsessed with what your field is and never get satisfied 2. Embrace being different, but still have limitations with this strangeness. 3. A genius is never a master of one, neither the master of non. He is the Jack of all traits, because genius is a property, it can be used everywhere...

This video resonates with me strongly. Ive always had an insatiable thirst for (STEM) knowledge, and its quite consuming at times. However I have Asperger's so my focus is very intense but short lived as I mentally change channels often. I often get frustrated with my neurological bandwidth if you will, as I want to absorb multiple topics simultaneously. I love solving problems and I can envision anything I put my mind to. However, there is never enough time, warehouse space, money, or my attention span to complete the countless ideas and projects I've conjured up. I see everything in the physical world within in the lens of physics and chemistry in motion and I truly love it. I guess my Achilles heel's are long term focus, and courage. God bless science and music, and all the scientists, physicists, and mechanical engineers doing work for the greater good!

I think, please correct me if I am wrong, but you are trying to list qualities of those that are successful because of their mind and you are introducing it in a way that is not supposed to make people into a genius; rather, to help those watching your site propel themselves forward and develop themselves so they are the best they can be. This is akin to your mention of Richard Feynman. I think many more in the population are more similar to his IQ than those you listed but Feynman outworked those around him exponentially. That is the lesson that those who watch should get. Take inventory of your skills, talents and passions. Invest in those while building up where you are lacking. Good message to lead people to being their best.

My advice for anyone would include practicing mindfulness over the things in which you can control within your circle of influence; and making sure that how your who's doing what and why ALL ADD UP to you- Adding value. Leading by example. Learning from mistakes. Answering your call to action. Defining what you do want. Developing an excellent work ethic. Understanding your role in the bigger picture. Putting in the good hardwork.

Hey, Math Sorcerer! I have one for you - I'm a savant who started drawing automatically sideways with my fingertips on a digital app. I now realize the potential for my datasets of the pixels, coordinates, and biodynamics is so incredible that I alone might be able to optimize particular machine learning models and even make some AI seem more human, do better art, tweak computer vision etc. I'm the only person on earth who can do it like this. I have been figuring this out for 8 years by studying computation and cognition as well as art history and continuing to do my drawings in between all the job fails, my pain disorder, my PTSD, and being rejected and ignored for being a woman. @@julienarpin5745 Its amazing how every time In in the US... I mean every single time... In any social setting. Since Im the windswept and interresting intrepid traveler, in any social setting, there are people that come up to me to tell me their story. "Whats your story" they say. And then they proceed to all tell me the same story. About how they "came up" in absolute poverty. Without access to healthcare, proper education or decent housing. AND NOW I MAKE SIX FIGURES, they say. SIX FIGURES!!! Its amazing how... Almost PROUD Americans are about that stuff. As if overcoming poverty is just part of the american dream. @@captain_context9991 Weird but not very different from other cultures...rarely in this world people think about our mind's satisfaction..money does solve 99.99% of your problems but some people get so busy and addicted to making money they forget what they were earning for.!! I wish instead of telling how many figures they have in their salary they actually told what they have achieved (other than money, materialistic or not) which made them happier than they were! Like I get it you earn shit ton of money but why? For what exactly?
@captain_context9991
@captain_context9991 Жыл бұрын
@@muskan1036 It wasnt about making money or mental health. I know both of those are extremely important over in the US of Murca because I have been there enough... But this.... This isnt how civilzied countries work. Its like.... IMAGINE if a recent study suggested 1 in 4 children grew up in poverty in my well working, civilized, modern country. Wow... I mean. It would be declared a national emergency. Every bit of mass media would be full of debates, heavy discussions. Every top politician would be iå against the wall. Held directly responsible and accountible. Old incompetent people would be swapped out with younger guys with solutions.... No stone would be left unturned until this national crisis was averted. Meanwhile in the US.... Where 1 in 4 children actually DO grow up in poverty. I mean... I have access to CNN, FOX, NBC, CBS, you name it, I got it right here. And there is nothing.... No debates, no discussions all day, all week, all year. Instead we hear about WORLDS GREATEST economy, the booming stock market, trillion dollar tax breaks, and even during the pandemic, we were told about world record unemployment figures of just a couple of % ALL this while the streets of every major US city is lined up and down with people living under blue tarp, self-medicating on random pills and hard drugs. So whenever americans come up to me to tell me how they CLAWED themselves out of poverty, and those six figures, and how blessed they are... Only in America would my journey be possible, they say. With such pride. In my 20s I used to say things like... Thats not really how a civilized country should work. And here is how other countries have dealt with these problems... When they said they were the only one that "made it", I used to ask what happened to the rest on your street. But I have since learned never to get between an American and his flagwaving opportunity. Now I just shut up and let them talk. I let them mirror their sense of greatness i my eyes. And then they can walk away satisfied, thinking Im a great guy, after having heard themselves talk for 25 minutes straight. And whenever americans talk about those SIX FIGURES, it always turns out to be before taxes, expenses, and everything. I was talking to this black woman who was a truck driver. SO proud of her SIX FIGURES, then my brother, who runs his own company over in Norway, took me through the taxing and expenses, and said she was down to less than 40 grand a year in real money. And would be mostly living out of the truck with no overtime, zero healthcare, no paid time off, the usual American situation. ONLY IN AMERICA WOULD MY JOURNEY BE POSSIBLE, they say.

passion noun a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement either for something or about doing something. Your passion will align your frequency (emotions) energy or vibration (state of being). You will experience greater personal power, clarity, peace, love, and joy. The lighter you feel in your physical, emotional, and mental body. You will have little, if any, discomfort or pain in your physical body, and your emotions are easily dealt with.

I've droped out of college twice for reasons that conflate with my socio-economical conditions, first I was coursing physics in a respected college here in Brazil and later I was coursing applied math in what is widly considered the best college in the whole South America. I also have had a hard time chosing a specific course but I had the ingenous hope that I would be able to graduate in another area later, something like philosophy or sociology. My way out of this condition has been to use my self learning skills to learn to code and to use the favorable circunstances in this market to make some money. I still didn't reached the level of financial independence I think I need to enroll in university again or to pursue a self learning path, but I've managed to make a (somewhat) decent living out of it and to progress in my ultimate goal.

Well, I don't even know statistics, but saying 1% is wildly off, it's more like 0.0001% or even less.

You have great points in the video. ❤ Just to sum up the genius minds list. Charles Proteus Steinmetz, Nichola Tesla and then you we can put Einstein in the list. Didn't know them gentlemen personally, it's just that because of the 2 mentioned in the beginning the world has electricity plus most of the minds you mentioned are working with the studies and information provided by Nicola and Steinmetz.

Genius are cool and all but they remind me of the people who make role-playing characters and maximize one stat while minimizing every other: there's going to be some negative character flaws that come with it.

I've seen academics with Nazi-esque beliefs or enabling people who have them by treating them as demigods, even if comparatively mediocre in their fields and terrible everywhere else. Stone Age Neanderthals with PhD's. Acting like medieval lynch-mob peasants that think "the Jews", or whoever it is they hate this week, are sorcerers who bring tornados and plagues on their village from their wizard towers, while caressing their beards. Walking contradictions. They clearly didn't know or care about what Hitler thought about Science. Or they do and agree.

I think same important is where you live, the quality and whealth of people around you. Luck and etics is also important, they will decide who will win between 1 million geniuses..
