Was looking for a reaction to this, it's a shame you didn't know what was happening. It's the Cataclysm, not the Archon War. Archon War happened thousands of years before the Traveler's sibling stepped foot in Teyvat. This is 500 years before the beginning of the game.

Yeah couldn’t put pen to paper but I knew of it, when Ei’s sister dies and all that, they bring it up throughout the game if I remember correctly.

They faced alone the great black dragon Durin and the hordes of monsters that invaded the world. Their sacrifice allowed the city of Mondstadt to survive, and they managed to buy enough time for Barbatos to arrive, and together with Dvalin kill Durin.

It's sad, but Khaenri'ah still lives with the siblings. It is signified by the flower they carry still being soft. Khaenri'ah lives with its people. I sure do hope that we see a redemption regarding the people there after the story.
