The last one is a fight between two of the strongest human characters lorewise at the time. Kevin Kaslana, the strongest hero....against Durandal, the strongest valkyrie. Kevin was just more broken, fighting her at 1% of his total power. He could clap a Genshin archon with 5-10%, depending on which archon. The land they were fighting on used to be a desert. Kevin froze it solid.

Honkai has this past year become my favorite game and story. I love the story of honkai and it's the only story that has me crying consistently. So if you decide to play the game prepare yourself for an amazing story with many sad and hype moments.

It's a common theory that the Herrscher of the Void (the "villain" in the second cenematic, is either the same, or an alternate version of the Unknown Goddess in the beginning of Genshin. They have a similar appearance and both use that strange "cube" ability. Also, since you notoced the subes, if you look at the cube she summons when fighting Himeko in final lesson, the cube itself resembles a lot like those hypostasis cube bosses in Genshin. There are also several characters that look very muck like, if not exactly, like characters currently in or teased for future areas. Clear evidence that the two games worlds are at least linked in some way to one another.

I pre-registered to Genshin Impact because of the story-writing quality of Honkai Impact. Both stories are good, but Honkai is more of a focused character study. With Genshin, most stories feel like you’ve just entered in medias res and need the cliffnotes to understand who these characters are and why they’re acting the way they do. In Honkai, they’re able to slow down a lot and show you why the characters act they way they do and even the most recent villain got a touching finale where you saw how they believed the end justifies the means.

There is a super cute animation called "Seele's One-Day Adventure" where her alternate persona is given the reigns. Veliona, as the fandom has come to call her, comes across as a cold and sadistic character when we first meet her in the story, unsurprising since she is fueled by negative emotions Seele experiences. But she turns out to be just a precious bean. EDIT: Oh, and only the Chinese version has voice overs.

On the Bronya video, if you slow it down, you'll actually see they're not all missing. A number of the shots actually do connect, she just doesn't give a single shit. She's a Valkyrie, she has her Projekt Bunny mech to protect her with shielding, and while she would rather not get showered with bullets, the occasional shot just doesn't make any difference at all. These girls are all basically superheroes, they can take a lot of punishment, and Bronya's one of the toughest of them.

I tried honkai after reaching ar 56 and I can say that the story got me quite invested in it

The thing is, you HAVE to play the game to fully understand the cinematics because it is the ending of its respective arc/chapter... Even the background/terrain is directly correlated to the said chapter and yes, 90% of the contextual stuff is in the chapter playthrough so watching the cinematics alone will definitely cause huge confusion... Actually, Chinese pronunciation is Benghuai or something, Japanese is Houkai while English is Honkai...

If you go back and re-watch it you can actually see flashes of their bullets deflecting off her shield during the sequence. It just looks like they're suffering from stormtrooper aim because of how subtle the tiny sparks from her shield are.

27:45 Bingo. You're basically one of the few reactors to get it right. Those are Bronyas of the alternate worlds. But to the players, it's a really emotional scene. You see, Bronya's been through a lot. She was made an assassin at the age of 10. Then, when a mission was botched, Cocolia, her target, took her in and put Bronya to care in the orphanage she was running. When Bronya finally seemingly get to have a taste of some form of civilian life, Cocolia got involved with parallel world + Honkai experiments. Bronya had tested resilient against Honkai energy so she was selected for a highly fatal experiment. Seele, her best friend + step-sister + girlfriend didn't want Bronya to die so she took her place. The result was Seele got stuck in between worlds in the Sea of Quanta. Bronya got pissed and forced Cocolia to run the experiment on her too to bring Seele back but the experiment went wrong - which resulted in her losing her legs and her emotions inhibited. And that was just the beginning of her life, before the age of 12. As you can see, her life was very much devoid of "reason". The alternative Bronyas you saw were "what if her life wasn't unreasonable". First image, she would have a happy childhood; Second image, she would have kept her legs and be able to do so much with them; Third image, she would get married with the person she loves. And many more what-ifs. Still, Bronya, having great resolve to finally flip off fate and awful odds, had earned Reason's respect, and so she became the Hersherr of Reason with her conscience and will in tact. I hope this gives you a deeper perspective of what those images meant, Kie. 38:40 The entire cutscenes was from the game. And it's a really fun watch for old time players. There were previous Honkai games but mistranslated in international releases - in China, they're Honkai 1 and 2 but internationally they're called "Gun Girls" and "Gun Girls Z". In the first game, Kiana wields a baseball bat. So, the bat here is a callback to the first game. In the ending of the second game, Kiana sacrificed herself to relocate Honkai catastrophe onto the moon and contain them there but she has to fight with them for all eternity - like her namesake ("Kiana" was, by lore, the name of a Moon Goddess who did something similar). So, to us, it was an easter egg by surprise.

"Why is everyone fighting at the scale of Gods?" Well, unlike Genshin, that's how it feel to play 5 star in Honkai lol Now, is Honkai story better? Hell yeas, 1000% and is super sad. You know, Kiana tried to kill herself before she saw Vision of Himeko? Now the problem is, Honkai new characters are introduced based on Story. Genshin Story is introduced based on Characters. As long as i would love to see more of Eula backstory, i know i'll never see that again. We'll have to stick to reading instead. There "is" a main story, but even MiHoyo don't care to Voice MP, so they don't care. The story might turn somewhere someday, but i don't see it going past Honkai. And even if there is "sad" moment's, you don't get impactful cinematic's like Last Lesson. And for those who says "Oh, Genshin is on his Baby steps right now" i disagree. Genshin is 1.5 years old now. And you guess what? Chapter 9 aka "Last Lesson" was released 1 year after Honkai release. And i am not mentioning other stuff what happened before that. (1 year later comment) Many people STILL misunderstand the Bronya trailer. The military guys do NOT miss their shots. She just doesn't care about a few shots. She has a permanent shield activated. Yes, it's OP. She moves around to avoid most of the bullets and prevent a failure of the shield (or the need to activate the stronger one). But many bullets still obviously hit target.

The bronya animation is 'non canon' and if you look you can see that they aren't missing but her mech (project bunny 19c) is her 'shield'.

Seele Vollerei & her "alter ego" Veliona are both voice acted by the same VA Nakahara Mai. She voices Ichihara Suzune in MKnR & Ryuugu Rena in Higurashi. Such an awesome VA! She portrays the difference between Seele's innocence... & Veliona's Yandere brutality perfectly. Potential Spoiler Alert: the Herrscher of Life & Death indeed!

Funny note about the "Wheres my bronya in genshin comment", most of her battle suits tend to align with ice element. Because of this and the game Honkai Star Rail, and a side story in Honkai Impact where we get an adult bronya I keep joking that they are eventually going to reveal the tsarita as that worlds alternate bronya. Since the shogun being alternate mei and the theory of the unkown goddess being kiana. Theres also a strong theory of the fire archon possibly being an alt himiko due to the blood line being the "Murata" which is her first name, the distinct red hair, and what we know of the pyro archon based on some dialouge matching her personality.

It's not that people BELIEVE the story is better than genshin IT IS, well mostly. Perfect Mc with amazing development that we as the players can feel and see! Amazing side characters Great plot Well written characters Very well written antagonist Good designs The thing I love about the characters is we got to grow WITH them Bronya, Mei, Kiana, Fuhua had amazing backstories and development we even got at least 3 or more chapters dedicated to them including durandal

So, I'll give a short rundown of Azure Waters, since it more or less tried to compress 10 chapters of manga into a 2 minute animation. Azure Waters is a backstory manga for the characters Bronya Zaychik (one of the three main characters during the story) and Seele Volerei. The two of them grew up in Siberia during the aftermath of the Second Honkai Eruption (a massive surge in Honkai energy which spawns numerous Honkai Beasts and utterly decimates humanity in the region it effects), which was a result of the birth of the Second Herscherr, the Herscherr of the Void. Bronya was a child soldier, known as the Silver Wold of the Urals, a deadly assassin, and a legend among her peers. She was bested by Cocolia, the blonde haired woman, a military leader, a member of Anti-Entropy, and the owner of the Cocolia Orphanage. She was brought back to said orphanage for rehab. Seele Volerei is a bit of a mystery prior to her arrival at the orphanage, but we know she is in possession of a Stigma (the red glowing tattoo on her chest), which is a mysterious natural sigil, latent in all of humanity, but only awakened in a select few. They grant incredible powers. During her time there, she met Seele, and they quickly grew close. However, another orphan, Sin Mal, who liked Seele, hated seeing Bronya with her, and shoved her down the stairs before breaking her femurs in an act of petty vengeance. This permanently made Bronya unable to walk without assistance, resulting in the need for metal prosthetics. The scene with Sin falling down stairs while Seele is holding a scythe is best explained by reading it. Now I'll skip to the end-- Cocolia, as a member of Anti-Entropy, was also monitoring these children for their resistance to Honkai energy, so that they could be used in a very unique form of experiment. This experiment is an effort to materialize solid matter using Honkai Energy. Unfortunately, during the test, Seele lost control, and phased out of reality, pulled into a mysterious realm between realities called the Sea of Quanta. With the power of her Stigma, she was able to temporarily return to the real world, but due to her greatly empowered state and single-minded determination to reach the orphanage to see Bronya, she was deemed as potentially dangerous, and prevented from reaching the location. She was then forcefully pulled back into the Sea of Quanta. In an effort to see Seele again, Bronya underwent the experiment, threatening suicide when she was initially refused. She underwent the test, and was successful in reconnecting with Seele through a form of mental link. Unfortunately, due to complications and Bronya's Honkai Resistance being lower than Seele's, Bronya became infected by Honkai Corruption, which damaged her brain, making her physically incapable of expressing emotion or experiencing emotion. The test was forcefully ended, and as a final gift to Bronya, Seele gave her the ability to manifest a robot called "Project Bunny", which floats behind her and is capable of both protecting her, and operating weaponry.

*WARNING BIG SPOILER ALERT* So this is the first time I've watched any of your videos. I am too a genshin fan and I love putting myself into a lot of lore. I bet you've probably seen this a lot of times but just in case here's an essay. I've made it easier by splitting things up into two different sections. Honkai: Honkai or Houkai is like an entity that is used to test different world. In our case its humanity. If humanity progresses and gets more powerful so do the Honkai. The Honkai are ranked in many different ways. There's the Honkai sickness, Herrschers, Honkai Beasts. Since I myself never focused on Honkai sickness. I'll talk about the honkai beasts. The honkai beasts are put into many different classes. There are the Judgement Class, Emperor Class, Zombies, and many more that I won't name because there are a lot. The Judgement Class include Benares and Chiyou. Judgement class beasts are very strong. Benares you have seen in the videos at the end of Will Of the Herrscher and Chiyou is a beast that was locked away by an S-rank valkary(excuse my spelling). The Emperor class is kind of in the middle. You get to fight a lot of the emperor class enemies like Ganesha and Parvati(both are bosses you can fight in game). The zombies are like the weakest enemies and you don't need a strong character to beat them up. Herrschers: The Herrschers are humans that have felt very strong negative emotions against humans and also have been corrupted by the honkai at some point. There are different ways to have a herrscher: 1. Becoming a vessel. Becoming a vessel is basically like having a herrscher core planted into your body or being created just for the herrscher. I'll elaborate on that later. 2. Having the herrscher already in your body. Sometimes people can be born with a herrscher but won't show those symptoms until that person is feeling hatred against humanity. Some herrschers gain hate through experiments and some with other factors like war and death and another is when person are put next to big sources of honkai energy like the 4 gems(Serenity, and 3 others I can't remember ). There are 14 herrschers and not all are known. But just to name a few, Kiana Kaslana or the 2nd Herrscher the herrscher of the void.(Becomes the Herrscher of the Void in the Will of the Herrscher videos and when she talks about how humanity has made her lose everything its actually refering to the actual herrscher of the void. Kiana is actually an expierement made to hold Sirin(the actual herrscher of the void)'s persona. So when Kiana becomes the herrscher of the void for the first time, Sirin took control over the body and all Kiana could do was watch.), Another is the Herrscher of Thunder(This is Raiden Mei. She's the 3rd herrscher out of all 14 and yes they are ranked. Mei was born with the herrscher and was very sad with her life but during the nagazora outbreak(Outbreaks are the awakening of a herrscher and can cause a lot of destuction) she was saved by himeko and brought to St. Freya where the three main characters get to learn how to use their powers. There at St. Freya she almost kills herself again by trying to fall off a bridge but gets save my kiana and they become friends. During chapter 9 10 or 11 I can't remember her interests aligned with the interest of the herrscher of thunder who was controlled by the honkai and now she has complete control over her herrscher form), and the final herrscher i'll talk about is the Herrscher of Reason or Bronya Zacheik(Bronya in her cyber angel cutscene is shown as a normal human. She doesn't have any herrscher powers until she touched the blue crystal thingy which is called a herrscher core. That core was the core of the 1st herrscher or the herrscher of reason. By being infused with the core she could now use the cores powers and create things that she knows the exact make up of like those railguns she summoned to beat that monster. Bronya is also considered to be a vessel and has complete control over herself). Each herrscher also has a power which I briefly touched on for bronya where she gets to summon things they understands completely and they can do massive damage with that power. Summary: 14 herrschers. Each herrscher has a power and a core. herrschers can be in control or not control and depends on their ability to control their emotions or communication with the herrscher. For the concern about Seele still calling Bronya "Sister" Im pretty sure part of it is that as a chinese company, Mihoyo has to skirt around lots of the explicitly gay content that they then insunuate and hint at instead. Basically almost anything except outright stating it and getting in trouble for the most part lmao (they still sneak some stuff in though like the BronSeele kiss in the Azure Waters manga)
