@@cujohjylnsupposedly the genshin dev team for a long time have been trying to implement these features, the upper management never gave them the go, untill now that is. My friend told they approved a vast majority of requests and the specific teams have started development on them.

Cai Haoyu used to be the producer of HI3 and fans disliked the lesser rewards until Genshin releases and he's replaced with David Jiang who's currently the producer of HI3 & HSR which gives better rewards and player feedback while Genshin could never because of the current producer, Cai Haoyu.

@danielehartmann2787 we must've played different games, it's not as super polished as genshin might be in terms of VA and dialogue, but everything from the combat to the traversal and open world exploration clears, all the gameplay and stuff that actually matters to a game being fun feels AMAZING compared to genshin and I played genshin for 2 years even reached AR 60 which is depression...simply put, they should be VERY SCARED of Wuthering Waves, lol

Wuthering Waves is scaring genshin. Convenient timing the day before release of WuWa changes are announced. If genshin improves great. but WuWa is a serious threat.

It's not a "threat". It's competition. Most people who are regularly playing Genshin won't stop. The sunken cost fallacy alone will make sure of that. Potential new players however are more difficult to reach if there is a "better" or more polular alternative on the market. In the long run, the devolopers will need to stay in their toes. That goes for both games btw. This is a good thing for the industry.

Exactly, that's why star rail has so much more QoL improvements over genshin. There are other Turn-based gacha, if you don't keep your players happy they'll just go and play the next similar thing. Genshin didn't have ANY competition until now, WuWa might not be any genshin killer, but it most certainly brings a good option to the market.

1. 200 resin is good for me. At AR 60, I want all the resin I can get. But maybe they'll make resin accumulate faster. Personally, I'm just happy to be able to log in once a day and not "lose" resin. 2. Increased inventory is great, but for me it doesn't matter. 3. Cannot wait to see Natlan's reveal. 4 I should really try the artefact loadouts... I'm such a scrub with artefacts.

To condense 5 at once you'd have to almost cap and be there so you don't overcap, you'll pretty much be safer just condensing 4 then 1 when it's ready. It gives you 5.3 extra hours to figure out what to spend resin on if you don't know what to do that day.

what they need to chnage is change the frame rate cap from 60 to 120/144 get a system if obtaining any artifact of your choice after a number of runs eventually. make a simple char outfit which everyone can get when they reach friendship lvl 10 of their character. and actually increase AR level rewards like u get 3 standard wishes and 100 primos when u reach AR 60 thats literally 1yrs worth of hardwork. give the fragile resin auto increase like normal resin maybe +5 per week.

People talking about WW everywhere so since I've just tested it out for myself... The writing is so unbearable that I couldn't help but cringe at every word, the animations were so unrealistic and overexaggerated for the female cast (which, of course, is every character) that it pained me to simply stare at the screen, the gameplay was so clearly made for boss fights that it just sucks in mob situations (which is looking like most of the game), the voice acting REPEATS EVERY SENTENCE FROM THE BEGINNING IF YOU DARE TRY TO READ THE TUTORIAL POPUPS OR OPEN THE MENU OR EVEN MOVE SLIGHTLY TO THE SIDE, the outfits and designs are generally unfit for any outdoor activity at all, the exploration movement feels clunky and forced, as if you were walking around in rollers instead of feet but your character just... floats above the ground to walk when dashing? The music might be good during boss fights but it's unbearably stale and uninspired for the rest of the game. ...I get that this game is made for the end game and only that pretty much, but if I have to suffer through THAT to get to it after dozens and dozens of hours to even reach that point, then get me the heck out of here

Tbh it does get better but if both WuWa and Genshin weren't gacha's, we'd consider WuWa as an Asian equivalent to a Eurojank game. Nice ideas, some things nicely executed, lacking in other area's. If anything WuWa should be the death of Tower of Fantasy since it's honestly better even with the bugs, terrible early writing and bad localization. Some people desperately need Genshin to fail so badly that it's part of their personality. At the same time people do value different things. If I didn't have friends who also played WuWa I would have put it down long before I actually started enjoying the combat and the janky exploration. The story is off-putting, but it does become more tolerable. But your mileage may vary. Listening to Yangyang and Chixia in the beginning is torturous. I really don't know why Kuro took voice actresses with decent voices, made them fake an American accent and gave them suck bad direction. Did they make Yangyang's voice actress ASMR her character and then they just...increased the pitch? I think it took me hours to progress to the end of the city because I got tired listening to the nonsense jargon they talked about. They don't bother to explain anything they just rush on to the next sci-fi gibberish.

It's even funnier when people trying to beat on Genshin, claimed that they won't have to hear Paimon's voice in their ear anymore. *Chixia Walks In* Literally Paimon in adult form. Her voice is annoying as hell. I may not dive too deep into WW, because it's just not hitting for me. I'll give it a week before I decide if I'm going to uninstall it. The combat is pretty good for what it is, but it doesn't WOW me and it surely won't be the sole reason I play that game, because it's just not pulling me in at the moment. As you said, though --- they are just looking for Genshin to "fail". Give it a few weeks before they are crying and complaining about things they have yet to encounter. WW barely has skin under its belt, yet they think it's going to "kill" Genshin? I'm never sure if these people are just born stupid, or if it's self inducing idiocracy. I'll let people enjoy what they want and continue playing Genshin, while I wait for ZZZ to drop this summer.

I don't see what the big deal is about the 200 resin cap. It's not extra resin. Just means you can log in less so it's a matter of convenience. The regeneration rate is still 1 every 8 minutes. They could have lowered it to 5 minutes to make us feel like we are actually getting something good out of 4.7

If you actually take the time to consider the timing of this and what outcomes these changes will actually provide, you will end up realizing that none of these changes are actually great. They are fine but they don't really impact the current gameplay. Furthermore, these changes are being announced because there is finally a competitor to GI.

It could be a nice start but this is like an hour of dev time for changes that have been overdue for years(except the artifact thing, which id just a new player retention tool and not what we wanted) Hoyo has been taking massive piles of Genshin money for years and just spending it on other business ventures instead of doing right by their players. Im not saying they shouldnt make other games. No king rules forever and I do really like the HSR story and MC(its a shame it plays like a PS2 game though) but Genshin deserves a lot more love. Ill do my part to help make WW as successful as possible and Hoyo can pay for my bandwidth to F2P as a casual until they actually make some effort

To be frank: that's a defense mechanism. So you can try out WuWa and only need to come back every 24 hrs for your dailies - ok-ish, helpful, yes, but, we see the reason behind it.

I've been playing genshin non stop since i downloaded it five months ago, i got Arlacchino vipe team and amazing account and at AR55... but now after playing wuthering waves i can just say it's much better especially in battle experience and how much the devs respect and hear their community Plus it's much f2p friendly, i got my first 5 star character Virena at day 1. I'm not planning on deleting genshin yet but if wuthering keept getting better i can see my self switching away from the old greedy Howo

Its not actually more resin, more resin would be if the increased the regen rate from the 1 per 8 minutes it is now to 1 per 6 minutes that it is in starrail and wuthering waves imo, increasing the cap just allows us to not log in for a longer period, it doesnt actually give us more to spend per day :/ Idk i feel Like they could have done more , in starrail the weapon banner only has 1 rate up LC and is 75/25 instead of stupid fate points crap in genshin And in Wuthering waves the weapon banner has 1 rate up weapon and its just guaranteed at 80 pity , no 50/50, no 75/25 just straight up you hit pity you get the weapon I feel like Hoyo is doing the absolute bare minimum imo :/

They are just holding out to see what happens with WuWa. This is their plan all along. They could care less about actually listening to players. Trust me they will keep adding stuff players have been asking for if WuWa starts stepping on their toes, otherwise they will keep their aces up their sleeves for the next big competitor, and by the time that happens a lot of people will have quit Genshin, due to their stubborn greed tactics.

It's not a big deal, the refresh rate is still the same LOL It takes more than a day to refresh 200 resins. Nothing changed much, it's just beneficial to anyone who forgot to play within a day, or hadn't done so. I'll get back and be happy if they make the refresh rate similar to the time length it takes the current 160 cap to max.

Extra resin not gonna change any af for this game ..... im literally playing this for primos to have furina and shogan .. then i will quit it.... wuthering is way more fun in combat and challenging.... it's just my ipad crashing way too much playing wuthering, it's need a little optimization . Genshin Impact is finally coming to it's ending dominating era 🙌

Just as I was starting to get better at Genshin lol So glad that they have been humbled and will listen to other people One thing I can't stress enough that I hope everyone will learn is this: Don't trust a company that you don't know personally With this I mean any game developer or company can be as unfaithful to what they claim without going through with it, and they have no one to regulate them And if they really cared about the players outside of fiscal elements, they would probably try to openly communicate with them more

"They are only doing this to please the player base because WuWa has released!" Well, duh. But guess what, EVERYTHING is designed to keep players invested. That's the whole reason a game is produced in the first place. The individual designers may actually care about the players' enjoyment, but the company behind all of this doesn't care in the slightest. The only thing WuWa represents is competititon so the pressure has slightly increased. The game designers and developers can only implement things the producer approves of. So now that competition is on the rise, more changes are being finally implemented. I really don't get why people are angry because of this. This is a good thing. It also sets another precedent. If this proves to be an effective measure of increasing player satisfaction and investment, more changes are likely to follow.

I can't see why people are so excited with some poor changes likes these. Yeah good thing we're at 200 but the production time is still the same, this is the minimum Hoyo could do for us. I really hope WW keeps making a HUGE sucess and money, and be on top of Sensor Tower for months, these cheap changes Hoyo did was just to hold some dumb emotional players to disguise it as enormous huge changes, the real game will start when they see their money going to WW instead of Genshin, losing more and more as the months pass There you'll see the changes they can really do.

No they aren’t. Unless the change the rate resin recharges this doesn’t change much. Also the artifact load out still sucks and is irrelevant. Instead of them giving what we ask for they are just give sprinkles

But from actual past resin which was 120 resin was 16hrs after we got 160 resin cap it was 21 hrs 20min and that's cycle going on hours getting added up so for now 200 resin cap refresh will be equivalent to around 26 hrs 40 min but hopefully I hope hoyo would have some common sense about it so they don't outrage genshin community and add resin refresh rate more quicker

The only thing wuwa as is good to mid combat but the story is really bad u get infodumped every sec and dont even know what they talking about the main city looks boring all Monsters r some weird scifi abominations and every playble male char as the same cloths somehow every female face is the same with diff hair color and dont get me started on all the bugs had to reinstall the ga.e six times just to get the launcher working the game can become a good game in a couple of months

Thank god i quit this genshin after playing for 3+ years , Wuwa feels so refreshing and better rewarding than the genshin shit

Nope, they don't. If anything - they know about everything players ever asked (they were bombarded by same lists for 3 years), but they don't add those on purpose. Why? Because of monetary gains in a long run ofc. Everything Mihoyo does has monetary reason, as the only thing they care about is money. Increased resin cap is pretty much a bone to butter up the community.

These changes do almost nothing and feel like a kneejerk reaction to wuthering and other competitors coming out, hoyo continues to prove that theyll do the bare minimum for us. I still have hope theyll get it together like their hsr team one day.

I think this will be the end of gacha games for me. Genshin is horrible and just boring and my hopes for WuW have been crushed after the initial reviews. Ill probably be going back to single player rpgs
