The scariest thing in WINDTRACE isn’t the hunter BUT LAGGERS THEY JUST TP IN YOUR FACE BUT THEY WERE LIKE A MILLION METERS AWAY

I always try to win without disguises because I enjoy intense moments

When you don't wanna play Hide and Seek anymore so you turn the game into Tag.

If you ever play on the Kamisato estate, stay in the entrance and grab onto either the wall in the front side or back side in the entrance area thing and switch walls so the hunter can't see you from their perspective, literally nobody ever looks up so you'll be pretty safe without a disguise. If the hunter gets the favor, they will have to first climb up the side walls to reach you; while they're climbing the side walls, their camera will be turned in the way that makes them unable to see you if you just glide away from behind them. Before they realize it, you're already long gone, either hiding in the bush outside the place or somewhere inside. Usually, they will run back inside the estate, and when they do, simply go back to the walls and wait out the game.

If anyone needs help with slippery players like this: 1: ALWAYS KEEP ROTATING YOUR CAMERA. A lot of things can happen when you’re not facing the right way, especially upward. Everyone always focuses on the ground so much that they fail to look up. Once you spot someone, ALWAYS keep your sight on them as much as possible and DO NOT turn your camera away. 2: If the person you’re chasing keeps looping you, watch where they go to pivot and switchback. If you have time, do a loop or two with them and keep an eye if they take a specific path or improvise on the spot. If they do follow the same route, see at what point of the (climbing) chase do they flee their hiding spot. Once you got a gist of where they go, and when do they flee, preemptively jump over the threshold that would set them to flee, then IMMEDIATELY discontinue the path and jump away. If they reacted properly and jumped out, and you jumped out as well, it becomes a matter of sprinting the ground to catch a kite. 3: ALWAYS use a tall avatar as you can cover ground faster. A tall boi Zhongli will definitely outrun smol Qiqi. The only time you use a chibi as a hunter is if you suspect that another player will use a chibi to squish into tiny spaces 4: If you lost a player during a loop or chase, Immediately go back to their original hiding spot and maybe wait a few seconds. You will lose time during this, but this prevents loopers going back immediately to their spot. Quickly reflect which way did you lose the Rebel and look in that direction of every Foliage and tiny nook a player could hide and make a line from the original hiding spot to the direction you lost them.

I did this also using klee and jean was the hunter, I’ve been running circles back and forth and I feel like the hunter was pissed since I didn’t even use dash much often just running

I had to deal with players like this once except they were hiding in the tree and turned invisible and then climbed back up the tree and I play on my ipad so I was just yelling over there after I gave up

3:38 One time I jumped off a roof while invisible because the hunter had found me and just like you but while Midair I barely dodged the capture thingy and there were 4 seconds left of the game

i've played a game of windtrace where i went onto the roof of one of the houses and became a scarecrow. hunter didn't see me even though i was jumping around.

It’s so fun seeing the Hunter run around trying to “find” the “invisible” final rebel (I play as Gorou and my best game was Hunter Kokomi chasing after him)

i wish my windtrace moments were always this fun, half the time my teammates either afk or exit the co op

Is it really that much easier to do the edge sprinting? I always try to make use of that, but fail miserably all the time. That propulsion really saves time and helps cover more distance even in simple explorations from mountain edges. Maybe I just chose a bad position, or is it just much harder to execute on ipad?

I would usually just ignore these types of rebels since it's a hassle trying to keep running and using mobile isn't helping. I'll wait for the favor and trap the mf 🤗 I always save my favor till there is one player left and I know that they are nearby. Once I'm the rebel, I usually just show up once there is only 10 secs left to give hunter a little chance

When hunters choose small characters, they automatically set themselves up for bullying by me

I either try to not disguise or hide in an pretty obvious spot or like next to a stool in the middle of the map and just see them missing me

That happened to me once with a Jean, they spent like the whole time trying to find a way to come up and they gave up and said ''Ayaka, come down'' and i was like nah, you gotta come catch me, they didn't get anyone

I think it's just me who always become the invisible one in windtrace because i know a lot of spot that makes you invisible, like in dawn winery grape people forgot about

i've tried to capture a zhongli once and he kept I-framing my capture area, i dont know how they timed it , but it was definelty in range of my capture but kept "dashing" the exact moment i pressed capture i chased him for so long i lost the game

I did this with the tree on that inazuma map instead of the house, just kept jumping off when they were half way up the tree and did it until they gave up lol it is so mean

I’m quite good at doing this despite being a mobile player.

Windtrace is literally a torture for mobile players like- I was the hunter and this kept happening :( playing with a broken screen + it being a phone is killing my sanity.
