Genting Skyway is the old gondola lift cable car which only operates when the newer Awana Skyway is undergoing scheduled maintenance.
This is a joyride on the Genting Skyway for both direction between Gohtong Jaya (Lower Station) and Genting Highlands (Upper Station) without commentary. Enjoy the ride together with me.

Length: 3.38km (Longest in South East Asia)
Duration: 16 minutes one-way journey
Elevation: 1100m
Power: 2x640kW Motor Power located at Upper Station
Cable: 54mm diameter solid cable

Tbh Genting Skyway has better view than the current fancy Awana Skyway. Sometimes this Genting Skyway will stop in the middle of the trip, makes it more fun (spending more air time).

Genting Skyway will only operate when Awana Skyway is closed for maintenance. You may visit Genting website for more information.

Hi Sir, thankyou for video Unfortunately, Awana Skyway Will be in maintenance in my visit by the End of the month, so the genting skyway Will operate. I have few question about this, appreciate if you can give some information, 1. Is Genting Skyway cable car station near with Awana Bus Terminal? 2. How much stop available for genting skyway? Since Awana have 3 stops 3. Is it possible to reach chin shin wee Temple from stop Point genting skyway? Thankyou before

1. The distance between Genting Sjyway and Awana Skyway is approximately 4km. Majority if not all of the bus will be diverted to Genting Skyway Bus Terminal. 2. Genting Skyway has only 2 stops. 3. No, Genting Skyway does not stop at Chin Swee Temple.

我以为这缆车没有很久也已经拆掉了。没想到现在还能见到。现在的缆车都是在 Awana Sky central 那边上来。

这个缆车现在是当作备用缆车，都是Awana缆车维修的时候才会使用，通常都是3-4天。可以关注Awana缆车的FB。

Hi as of now all the cable cars including Awana Skyway and Genting Skyway are operational. Genting Skyway operates at limited times, check their website for updates.

Nope they’re actually just 30 mins apart. It happened to rain while I was on my 2nd ride back to Kampung Batu.

This is Genting Skyway, has been closed and the current is Awana Skyway which has been renovated from past big type car.

@@WKX076 Thanks for your reply.Every month they will do maintenance. From 27th June 2022 to 1st July 2022, Awana Skyway will be closed for quarterly maintenance. Genting Skyway will be operating from 0700 hrs to 2200 hrs during the maintenance closure of Awana Skyway.
