I just got a 2021 roughhouse yesterday. Your video was very helpful. I have a 2016 Yamaha Zuma 50 FX . It's been very reliable. I did not be restricted it topped out at 41 but I'm a pretty light Rider at 145. They discontinued The Zuma in North America in 2018. Saw your video and that's what led me to get the roughhouse. I've only put eight miles on it I'm still driving it easy. But it's so nice to have a 2-stroke again. Thanks again for the video. 🛵👍

we just got a roughhouse and did a speed test on a flat road. Speedo was pegged at 50 MPH and my Garmin was reading 42 MPG. as Nick Nasty said below, over 35mph the speedo is off.

Yeah it come with a rack you can put all kinds of storage boxes they have them at the dealer or you can buy your own. I. Use a milk crate I like that more because you can overstuff it and remove it a lot easier. They also make a 110 engine for it so you can make it a sleeper; able to do 60mph and get up there fast, but it still plated as a 50cc.

Its a two stroke so you don't change the oil for the engine. The gearbox has a drain and fill you should find it easy the drain is the only nut on the underside of the gearbox case and the fill is the white plastic nut on the rear. Keep in mind when you tighten them that you want to be able to unscrew the two of them again in the future, so don't over torque them

Wow, that's impressive. I just got a Tomos Nitro 50cc 4 stroke and I top out around 42mph, but up hill I would be lucky to maintain 32mph. I'm also surprised with how fast you accelerated. It only took about about 5 seconds for you to hit 30mph, and it usually takes me about 8 seconds.

Scooter speedos are notoriously optimistic. I’d verify your speed with a GPS.

Well it has a 2 year warranty that covers parts and labor and there is no milage restrictions so im eager to find out as well. Shit it has roadside assistance as well

Premium gas only. And it would top out at 30mph if it was restricted. Unrestricted will reach the 50mph top speed which is 47 actual.

Yeah got a 14 after I blew up my buddy a few months ago . It's beast. Put a 100 watt bazooka under the seat and am hid Kit. Had to piggyback an extra battery.

What is the yellow line between 40 and 50 on the speedometer? Does that mean it is not supposed to ride it above 40 mph? The last 50cc scooter I had was a 2005 Yamaha Zuma 2 stroke, and it topped out at around 40 indicated. I never checked it with a GPS. I am now considering buying another 50cc scooter, and I want a 2 stroke. The only 2 strikes available in the U.S. that I know of are the Genuine Buddy 50 and the Genuine Roughhouse. The Roughhouse is more my style. I hope to get one soon, before they also get taken off the market. I wish I had gotten a Genuine Rattler 110 before it disappeared. I have a Genuine Stella 150, but it is not much faster than a 50cc 2 stroke. It will go faster, but if you ride it much faster, the engine will likely seize. Plus you have to shift and clutch, painful with my arthritis.

I have two of these derestricted,38 mph is all the scooters will do. Speedometers on all scooters and motorcycles are set high (5 to 10mph) to make you think you are going faster than you really are. Big brother making you safe. Both my GPS read 38 and 37 as top speed.

Word to the wise take that gas cap and throw it away they actually make an aftermarket gas cap it doesn't lock but it doesn't get stuck either and who the hell is going to steal a gallon of gas out of your scooter

Coming from a 2012 50f owner....

My 2015 Zuma with a variator upgrade only does 41 on flat gps and 48mph down a hill again gps. Speedo is pegged.. roughhouse is a fast machine stock but I wanted the reliability of a 4stroke and didn't want to listen to a whiney smokey engine that needs oil mixed.

I'm buying a rattler 110 engine this January. Easy drop in install and its going to reach 60mph.

impressive but redlining your engine is incredibly harsh on engine, apparently you are financially able to replace engine/scooter when you prematurely kill engine, so thats ok, lucky u, but personally i keep mine at 30 around town and with proper oil'ing expect to get years of relatively trouble free transportation, fyi abrupt acceleration also prematurely kills engines, just like cars and motorcycles

The speedometers come 5 mph fast your not really going what it shows

Only problem is you were clocking your speed with your mph gauge. And we ALL know these scoot speedometers are off 5-6 mph at 35mph and above. So if you're going 35, your actually doing 29mph. GPS your scoot and we'll see what you can really do. Lmao. Then bring it up against my "Beast". 100cc bbk, A9 racing cam, etc, etc.....
