Can you imagine living with a sparrow for 21 years? When little sparrow decides to move to sparrow heaven, she can consider a parrot and look forward to 100 years together.

I just looked it up and there's one recorded case of a sparrow living 23 years in captivity.

My brother raised a wild duck when her mom got killed by a coyote. She always followed him everywhere and never migrated. When she had her babies she moved them to the porch and will only allowed my brother to touch them after that they stayed for another year and migrated away.

its not just humans, other animals have shown the same level of bonding to each other. if you have to feed the bird everyday, and feed it every 20mins for like a month, you'd develop quite a bond to it too

ANY mammal can form a bond... Birds are awesome. I have 8 chickens and 2 turkeys. The chickens are dumb but they love me and the turkeys are more interactive with me than the chickens they will come running when they see me lol it's fun. I really really really want a baby squirrel... Buddy has one and she is wonderful and playful and she loves everybody.

The first bird that I ever rehabbed was a Eurasian collared Dove! I saved his life and raised him! He was only one day old! He became pretty tame and this was before I knew anything about imprinting birds!! Anyhow, he wanted out of my house so badly when he got older and wanted to be free. He finally flew out my sliding glass door! I pray that he found a flock and had his own family!!

I never realised a dove could live so long.

Doves are cool they're very underrated as companions, but that's amazing she's gotten to a good age! I know the wild ones are attracted by the sounds of mine. When I take them outside the wilds always hang out in the yard. It's just funny I'll sit on the patio and here will come one of them and it'll just chill a couple feet from us and hang out. They're cool birds their ability to just hang out and be mellow is really cool. In my experience they're like the couch potatoes of all birds.

My pup absolutely loves my birds. I never dreamed I'd be birdpdrson, no not me! I've now 2 Lovebirds. The male is in love with the female, she is attached to me... but they are still husband & wife. Absolutely love them both...something I never dreamed 2B ..."a bird person"... but they are SO wonderful and even loving, as a pet. The interaction we have surprises me & made me aware how smart they can be (solving problems &more).

@@iulianaescu we mixed up a slurry consisting of dry cat food and water. It must be soupy. And fed it to him using a small spoon that we bent the edges of up so he easily feed from it. We fed him when he would cry for food, as you normally would for a human baby.

We have a "feral" kitten that appeared last December...he is terrified of men and feet . It took months, but he at least trusts me enough to let me pick him up and pet him: my wife is his BFF.
