I found a geode in my backyard! I don’t exactly know where geodes usually form so it was really neat!

insane spot , many type of minerals in geodes

Yes, this is typically a great spot, was a bit picked over when we were there. This spot typically produces all quartz geodes, although I have found some with secondary calcite too.

I live next to a man made river bed, well almost man made; it used to be a natural river, and I find these all the time. Since I live in the city nobody knows or cares about them so I'm literally the only one who collects them.

I typically sell on Facebook Marketplace, anywhere from $3-15 depending on size and if it rattles.

@@juancarlosnunezvazquez007 Las Choyas semi hollow geodes, also known as the Coconut Geodes, come from Chihuahua Mexico. If you are ever in that area, see about visiting the mine. Those geodes are awesome. I have some videos on here with those

Do you have an idea about what is possible because of what people told you. For just a few seconds, forget everything else and look at the rocks. You will notice that they are all shaped like birds and human heads.
