I found a geode in my backyard! I don’t exactly know where geodes usually form so it was really neat!

insane spot , many type of minerals in geodes
@themhaleyboysoutdoors449110 ай бұрын
Yes, this is typically a great spot, was a bit picked over when we were there. This spot typically produces all quartz geodes, although I have found some with secondary calcite too.

This is so cool. I can't believe you left the red one. I want one. What state are you in? I live in the northeast and I'm pretty sure we dont have wild geodes here

This is in Kentucky, lots of geodes there!

I live next to a man made river bed, well almost man made; it used to be a natural river, and I find these all the time. Since I live in the city nobody knows or cares about them so I'm literally the only one who collects them.

Hey man I’ll be in Louisville next month for like 8’days, any chance you would be down to show me the ropes on geode hunting near there? I’d be down to meet up and do a collab video too

Unfortunately I don't live in KY, we just visit sometimes. I will see if I can find a location someone shared once.

Do you have an idea about what is possible because of what people told you. For just a few seconds, forget everything else and look at the rocks. You will notice that they are all shaped like birds and human heads.
