Hi Geo! Could you please let me know whether engraving one's name on a chrome finish brass razor like the TTOs by Parker would harm the razor in any way if one uses an engraving pen as available on Amazon? Thanks and regards, Dr. Basu ( India)

Hi Geo - my current favourite is the Merkur Progress 510 for head shaving (Tiger blades, setting 3 / Feather setting 1.5) and Muhle R41 for my face (Feather blades). I would love to try a Gillette Slim Adjustable but don’t want to buy a vintage one that someone else had. What is the closest equivalent razor available today that’s most like it? Thanks!

Stainless Feather with Feather blades. Had it for six years. Absolutely worth the money!!

R89 Twist + Feather! Got to get the twist with a feather blade or Perma Sharp an excellent shave every time and my go-to

I started with the R89 and have got used to using it with feathers and BICs. I am very happy with the results. I also have the R41 which is superb on heavier growth. Thanks to your reviews I’m now looking at the Rocca 😁.

I've only tried one safety razor and that's the Van Der Hagan. Had it since last August and have not shaved with anything else since. Even though it's apparently a very mild razor that blade is still pretty damn sharp compared to the other razors I've used in the past. Gets the job done.

After I purchased my Rockwell Razor approximately 3 years ago, I use it exclusively now even though I own about 15 different razors, it is smooth and pure perfection. My second favorite is my Muhle R41 for heavy growth.
