Never before heard original extended version of Scotty's record that was released in the spring of 1967. This 3:51 version was considered too long for a 45 in that day, so it was spliced and shortened to 2:28 for the record release.. Featuring three members of "The Exotics": Blair Smith (lead guitar), Tommy Spalding (rhythm guitar, harmonica) and Geoff West (bass guitar & drums).

Thank you again, Mr. West, for your great Scotty McKay library. It takes me back to KLIF days.

My ears tell me its NOT Page. Although the band apparently did support The Yardbirds on a few dates of their final US Tour. Also Jim McCarty produced a couple of Scott McKay numbers. As far as I know these are the only Yardbirds connections! This version clearly owes a great deal to The Yardbirds version which they were using to open their shows. See 'Live At The Anderson Theatre'! A great 'Live' album that never officially saw a release thanks to Page! The audience applause on it was dubbed on afterwards! It was originally from a bullfight! Hence the big cheer when Page goes into a solo. Priceless!

as the late DJ Mike Selden would say, "GOOD GAWD Y'ALL!!!" when he'd play some smokin' tune like this on the air. Thanks for posting the amazing long version!

Easily the most raucous rendition of Tiny's tune.

Fine American version of this Yardbirds inspired number. Still have not heard the NAZZ version yet. But this is outstanding too.

The original version was done by Tiny Bradshaw in 1951.

Is this the true original version? So cool! I'd always wondered who'd done it.

It was Blair Smith of The Exotics who played lead guitar on that recording, as I mentioned in the KZfaq description.

I played bass and drums on this record in 1967 and it's definitely Blair Smith (of The Exotics)who played lead guitar. I have the master tape and have posted the extended version on You Tube.
