I've just started a degree in geography, and I kinda agree that people do look down on geography as being a 'easy subject', it really isn't. I'm doing just physical geography, so people assume that I just dig up rocks and colour in, but in the last few weeks I've been covering physics, chemistry, stats and biology. I think its a all-rounder degree for those who want to experience difference aspects of science, but were indecisive at which one to choose. In general most people just think I like rocks haha.

oh my god i thought you were going to bash geography by the title!!! i’m taking geography for one of my a-levels (not as good as a geography degree at uni but i will get there!), but yeah everyone says ‘uhh why would you take geography that’s so boring, all you do it’s learn about countries’.

Thank you for this video. I am a post graduate in geography, still I am getting sick of such questions. My relatives constantly quiz on countries, capitals etc... yes geographers can answer such questions but that’s never the core of our study. Thank you for this video which made me emotional 😭 Too.

I teach Geography, people tell me that subject is difficult.

Geographers identify problems, politicians solve problems.

But for me geography is my favourite subject.

This was so interesting! I love how passionate you are about your subject. I just graduated from university with a degree in dance, so I understand the struggle! Dance is seen as an "easy" degree, but it actually takes a lot of hard work and discipline, both physically and creatively. I believe the arts can change lives so I'm glad to be following my passion. Yes geography is not an easy subject, to do the practicals we have to be very systematic and sincere if not the entire practical or project is complete mess, so it's never an easy subject and Its never about
