You can google that information yourself. But it doesn't really matter which religion is majority. Christianity and Islam are not that different from each other. Ethiopians of all religions have lived together for centuries without a lot of problems and that should be a source of pride.

If you're into historical landmarks, you should definitely visit Gondar castle and Lalibela. I'm no expert on giving advice, but i wouldn't recommend retiring to this country after a 2 weeks visit, unless you have relatives there, or are married to an Ethiopian, or speak the language. Then there's the issue of ownership of property which is complex, unless you're just renting. That's just a few obstacles, but it's definitely worth visiting.
