The red wing map is so funny because ive probably been there 50+ times. We like to drive there from the twin cities and go rock climbing down by the river. The rock climbing there is some of the best in minnesota.

I made a map of my hometown here in Minnesota and, after living there for most of my 50+ years, it still took me many tries to 25K the map. There's a GREAT used bookstore in Red Wing.

i think the minnesota mailbox is extended out like that to keep the post further from the road, so less chance of snow plow hitting it?

It has to do with how the game scales scoring vs size of the map. Smaller map -> smaller margins. If that was on a world map it would be a 5k
