Happy birthday. That first round was pretty surprising. For some reason, I thought it was Angola or Namibia but was surprised it was further east. But aside from that, it's crazy how much you know about even the rarest countries on Geoguessr so good job.

The semi-arid region you kept referring to on the southern edge of the Sahara is called the Sahel. It is a major concern in Africa at the moment as climate change has caused the Sahara to expand, pushing the Sahel southward.

It would be cool if you just played no move so you could see a bit more, I feel like it would still be challenging!

Have you considered doing a similar video style like GeoWizard when fans submit photos and you try to find where they are? That is great content but he does not do it much.

Actually squeaked out an 11,941 on the first challenge by correctly getting Lanzhou on Round 5. The architecture for whatever reason reminded me moreso of northwest China (maybe due to the more simple style and tan colors), but without the Uighur script you'd see in Xinjiang or the Xiao'erjing you'd see in Ningxia, so I just guessed Lanzhou. Apart from that, got 7,672 on the second challenge, and a 9,891 on the third challenge due to successfully getting northeast South Africa (red soil kinda reminded me of Eswatini/Lesotho, nice new building combined with corrugated tin roof) and a decent guess on the Republic of Congo round

I actually got Zimbabwe on the first one, and wanted to go there for the second guess... I was thinking there's no way I'd get two Zimbabwe's in a row. I was wrong. Also, I kinda cooked on the last game other than the weird India round. Fun map.

Really happy with the first round even if I didnt even break 10k, had the same thought process for every round other than venezuela (Sudan first, zimbabwe second, Bosnia third, china fourth and northern china fifth)
